The candidate of the Democratic Party for the Municipality of Tirana, Roland Bejko, says that this political force has released its candidates for mayor, under abnormal conditions, due to internal clashes with the group of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
In a television interview, Bejko said that some of the DP candidates were intimidated and withdrew from the race.
Among other things, Bejko underlined that the rest of the candidates were selected in uncertainty, as the situations were very unclear.
"Candidates were released under abnormal conditions, a good part of our candidates were intimidated and left, withdrew. The rest are placed in uncertainty, because the situations were very unclear. I don't have a list of names here and I'm not authorized. Basically this happened. As it happened to me in my district, that some candidates have started and others have finished", he emphasized.
