The former Minister of the Interior Sandër Lleshaj stated that the arrest of left-wing officials is a signal that the prosecution is cracking down on corruption, which according to him only takes place in power.

Referring to the latest arrest of Lefter Alla, Lleshaj said that this is positive news as corruption is being attacked and he does not consider it a political movement.

"Corruption takes place in power, it cannot exist in the ranks of unemployed people, as a criminal phenomenon, corruption takes place where there is political decision-making, we cannot expect the perpetrators of criminal offenses to be out of politics, it is within normal expectations, this is the price of power in the meaning that power corrupts and I see it as positive news that there is a movement and a myth has been broken, anyone who is naive should know that corruption existed even earlier, in the Rama 1 or 2 government and in earlier governments, the fact that hit now means that there is an explosion of the hit, a lot has been invested and the prosecution is hitting, it is a signal that corruption is being hit.

It is impossible to be political, but it is like I said, of all these governments, this is the first time that non-sporadic but visible strikes against representatives in government structures are taking place, there is no judicial step in front of the government.
