SPAK's re-investigation of the Gërdec tragedy risks causing a storm in Albanian politics. Yesterday, the new justice has decided to take the testimony of a key character who can determine the fate of the investigations and of Sali Berisha e Shkëlzen for the first time. Hoxha tha se, kur vizitoi Gërdecin në mes të vitit 2007, ushtarët e tij po i kryenin këto dy detyra dhe në sipërfaqe nuk dukej se kishte diçka të dyshimtë. Ai akuzoi se gjatë gjysmës së dytë të projektit, duke filluar nga dhjetori 2007, ai ishte urdhëruar nga Mediu, për shqetësimet e tij të deklaruara me shkrim kryeministrit Berisha (dhe Kryetares së Kuvendit Topalli dhe Mediut), si dhe pas presionit të drejtpërdrejtë nga telefoni nga “një i ri”, të cilin më vonë e identifikoi si Shkëlzen Berisha, djali i kryeministrit, që të vazhdonte të dorëzonte municione të kalibrit të lartë në Gërdec dhe ta bënte këtë gjë pa vonesa.
