The well-known journalist breaks down the behind-the-scenes between PD and the primary candidates: Here are the deals they are making in the north

Journalist Lavdrim Lita said in an interview for Euronews Albania that there were silent agreements in the districts regarding the May 14 local elections.
According to him, it is being discussed between the official PD and the candidates of the primaries, where the votes for the president will go to the candidates of the primaries, while the votes for the councilors will go to the official PD.
"There are talks, there have been negotiations in several municipalities, mainly in the north, where the Democratic Party or the opposition has the potential to win, such as Kurbini, Lezha or Shkodra, where even the candidates of the Democratic Party have been more aware of their role in community," Lita expressed, bringing to attention the case of Gent Doci in Kurbin.
The journalist said that Doçi, being a doctor in that city, knows very well what it means to have the political weight of the Socialist Party in a city where the majority are democrats.
"So, they managed to make a deal. The same happened for Lezha, so there were talks, there was an agreement between the local leaders, not in the center to give each other the understanding that the Municipal Councils will belong to the Democratic Party, while they will have their support for the candidate," added Lita.
