NAME/ Lottery is drawn, the relator is appointed for the review of Berisha's appeal to KAS

The Central Election Commission has met again to draw lots to appoint the relator to examine the appeal filed by the Democratic Party led by the chief democrat Sali Berisha. The Gogols chose Ledio Braho. The meeting of the CEC took place after Berisha appealed the decision taken the day before by the CEC. Earlier, the CEC met and cast lots for the appointment of the relator for the appeal made by Enkelejd Alibeaj's group to KAS. The Goglas elected KAS member Koli Bele.

In the meeting held the day before, the chief commissioner recognized Lulzim Basha as the chairman of the DP, but refused to register him without the solemn declaration. While the group of Sali Berisha, represented by Ledio Nuraj, he did not legitimize. The next step after KAS is the Electoral College.

Two complaints have been submitted to the Central Election Commission:

1. Appeal request no. 32 filed by the Democratic Party of Albania with the object "Repeal of decision no. 172, dated 14.03.2023 of the State Commissioner of Elections "On examining the request of the "Democratic Party", for registration as an electoral subject for the elections for local government bodies on 14.05.2023" and registration as an electoral subject of the Democratic Party of Albania according to request no. 27, dated 05.03.2023 and its accompanying documentation and recorded in the CEC on 06.03.2023 with no. 1337, presented on behalf of DP by the representative Mr. Indrit Sefa;
2. Complaint request no. 33 filed by the Democratic Party of Albania with the object "Opposition to the decision of the State Election Commissioner no. 172, dated 14.03.2023 and the amendment of the decision establishing the registration of the Democratic Party of Albania, represented by President Sali Berisha, as an electoral subject in the elections for local government bodies on May 14, 2023". The results of the lottery determined Mr. Koli Bele, as relator of appeal request no. 32 and Mr. Ledio Braho, as relator of appeal request no. 33.
