The plenary session in the Parliament of Albania, where the budget was expected to be discussed and approved, was engulfed yesterday by scenes of chaos caused by the Reestablishment deputies, who threw cigarettes and lit flares. Amid the chaos and debate, the Assembly has approved in principle with 73 votes the draft budget for 2024, which is considered the largest public budget draft with 7 billion euros of planned public expenditures. But this seemed like a strategy, since the Rama-Berisha duo had planned violent scenarios to avoid discussing the dubious 2024 budget, where the lion's share would go to concessions and oligarchs. It was the deputy of the Basha group, Oriola Pampuri, who, speaking yesterday in a media, described the scenes of the Re-establishment as a "quixotic war" where no solution is offered to the Albanians. She said that despite the times when the budget was discussed for 48 consecutive hours, this time, it was a show of personal interests and that the 2 groups served each other. "The chaos that developed in the parliament hall was that those who light the fire and they put it out. Such scenes, war alla "Don Quixote" do not serve Albanians. Albanians need a solution. There have been cases where the budget was discussed for 48 hours, history has never seen the budget pass in 5 minutes. On the other hand, it becomes a show that only serves people who make this noise for personal interests. Rama also made the show, because he approved the budget of 7 billion euros, without any discussion. Both groups in the hall helped each other. "One party approved the budget to waste the Albanians' money", she declared. As for the item-by-item voting of the budget that is expected to take place on December 6, MP Pampuri emphasized that despite the fact that the amendments proposed by DP can be mentioned, the government's aim will not be the solution to the citizens' problems.

Bejko reacts

Meanwhile, the vice president of the Democratic Party, Roland Bejko, described yesterday's scenario in the Assembly as a unity between Sali Berishë and Edi Rama. According to him, both of them are ready to start a fire every time they have to give an account. In a reaction on "Facebook", Bejko writes that now is the time for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and Prime Minister Edi Rama to "give account to SPAK". "After the fire that broke out in the parliament today, Sali Berisha hopes to escape the fire that SPAK started in his yard. Whenever Berisha has to face justice, he is ready to start a fire; every time Edi Rama has to account for the crime and corruption that has gripped the government, he needs an incendiary ally. Now is the time for Sali Berisha and Edi Rama to give an account to SPAK, but instead, these two in cooperation with each other show us the next spectacle. None of them is interested in accountability in parliament because the joint oligarchs who receive most of the money from the state budget are exposed. Today, the state budget will be discussed in the Parliament, where and how the money of the Albanians will be used for the coming year. But Berisha, with the fire he lit, did not give Albanians the opportunity to hear about the possible financial abuses that Rama's government will commit in 2024. Rama and Berisha are together according to the principle, "one hand washes the other, both wash the face of the alliance of towers with common oligarchs", wrote Bejko.

On the other hand, the head of the SP group, Bledi Çuçi, spoke after the closing of the session on the 2024 budget, which took place for only 5 minutes amid the tensions caused by the Re-establishment. Bledi Çuçi said that there is no talk of a smoke-free budget and that the opposition should be discussing and presenting alternatives. "We saw it today, the same scene, landscape, with smokestacks, discarded chairs, the only new thing today, that Albanians should pay attention to is the approval of the largest public budget in the history of these two years. There are 7 billion euros, which is twice the budget of 2013. Today they had to give the alternatives, one does not talk about smoke when it comes to the budget. Even today we saw a scenario. The biggest salary increase in history", stated Çuçi.
