A third force emerged in some municipalities, Tom Doshi broke the silence about

Considered the surprise of these elections, the Social Democratic Party managed to reap a massive victory in the May 14 elections, receiving around 85,000 votes and nearly 120 municipal council mandates.

However, for the chairman of the PSD, Tom Doshi, the result was expected, even satisfactory, thanks to a gradual work that has grown the party over the years.

"The result is not a surprise, the party has grown gradually. When I ran for the first time with the Social Democratic Party in the district of Shkodra in 2017, I was the most voted deputy with 13,400 votes, having all the parties against me.

We didn't even have commissioners at that time. Observers only.

In 2019, we participated in the elections that the DP did not participate in, but decided to abandon the local elections. The mandates we received had no value, since it was the majority that had all the municipalities, the SP.

In 2021, I became party leader and they left me without a campaign. I am focused on two regions, Shkodër and Tirana.

In Shkodër I received 2 mandates, in Tirana 1. During this time we worked with people, we had contacts and in these elections we got a result that I must say, satisfactory, not a surprise" - said Doshi.
