The hearings with the candidates for ambassadors were held in the Foreign Affairs Committee. Among them was the former socialist deputy, Ervin Bushati, who has been proposed for the USA. Democratic MPs Agron Gjekmarkaj and Tomor Alizoti did not agree with this proposal of the government, looking for a more serious figure.
"King Zog used to lead Konica, now we have a leader of the SP, who is the ambassador to America. Today we should have representatives....it's not personal, there should have been more serious and senior, anti-conformist representatives, like Konica with King Bird. Anyway, in this high position, I would agree with Mr. Bushati, somewhere else, but not in America," he said.
