Belind Kelliçi: Without unity, we cannot defeat Edi Rama

The former candidate of the opposition for the Municipality of Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, is more open than many others in the re-founded DP to admit that the defeat was also the result of the internal conflict in the DP. In an interview for the show "Pa Censure", on RTSH, Mr. Kelliçi listed the reasons why the Tirana race was unequal, from finances, logo, illegal use of power by the opponent, 8 times less time in some media, lack of commissioners, enumerators. But, unlike the official line, he does not ignore the responsibility from within the opposition itself.

"I did not expect this result. I expected a greater reaction from the citizens, even though I was aware that I entered an unequal race. But, of course, DP has had its problems, that's why the wave of citizens that I would have wished for, that 60-70% would have come out to defeat this machine, was not created. So, the non-participation in the elections was not only due to blackmail, buying and selling of votes, but also a part of them was convinced that we would not be able to win because of our situation," said Belind Kelliçi during the interview on RTSH. .

The only solution he sees to the situation now is to end the schism.

"Without everyone sitting down, without putting a finger on the wound, without finding a way to unite every factor, how to create a movement of the right as large as possible, where all the opposition factors are part of to overthrow Edi Rama, we we will not succeed.
