Gazment Bardhi has commented on the statement of the US embassy on the developments within the DP, where, among other things, it was emphasized that "it is not the role of the embassy to choose who leads the political parties in Albania."
Gazment Bardhi stated in the show "Opinion" that he fully supports this statement and the position of the American embassy for individuals declared "non grata".
Here he emphasized that he has not joined with Sali Berisha, despite the fact that there is unification within the DP group. Bardhi underlined that between the USA and Berisha, he chooses to be with the USA. While between Edi Rama and Sali Berisha, he chooses to be with the latter.
"I have not joined (with Berisha). I support the US statement 100%. I was in the studio with you the first day the meeting was held and I told you exactly what the statement says. There is no change in the US regarding "non grata" and this is an issue that I share with Mr. Berisha. Between the USA and Mr. Berisha, I choose the USA. Between Mr. Berisha and Edi Rama, I choose Sali Berisha as long as he has been in the opposition and has the trust of a part of the opposition people", said Bardhi.
