The Secretary of OMONIA, Marin Suli, has described as a "political decision", the decision taken today (September 18) by the Court of Appeal in Tirana, to leave in prison the elected mayor of the Municipality of Himara, Fredi Beleri.
Invited to News24, Suli said that according to him, Beleri was not arrested in the act, but was drinking coffee with his staff.
The secretary said that "all judges are under pressure, they are also under political pressure".
"It is the first case of an interception that does not have the camera or the series. There are serious violations and no one listens. All judges are under pressure, they are also under political pressure. The law is not an opinion and this is a disaster, Beleri is being declared a criminal by the public prosecutor.
