Journalist and analyst Ben Andoni has commented on the scandal of the arrested former FBI official, Charles McGonigal, and the involvement of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in this case.

In an interview at the Panorama TV studio, Rama said that due to the investigation procedures that will last in the USA, Rama will gain time because this matter will fade away as one of the affairs that the opposition has denounced and is under investigation is now being forgotten. from justice, that of incinerators.

As for the Prime Minister's absence in Parliament, to not give an answer to this issue, Andoni said that Rama wants to gain time until McGonigal faces the accusations and the facts.

On the other hand, the journalist and analyst emphasized that the independent Albanian institutions should react to this issue, since the mention of Prime Minister Rama's name in the American indictment is not a little.

Before his travels, in the Parliament, that man must answer, he must be present in the face of the very big concerns that the country has. It seems that Rama will gain time, due to the progress that the McGonigal case will take in the USA.

At the beginning of the week, McGonigal will appear in court, and he has not yet declared himself guilty, when the evidence will be presented, then it will be seen how far he has gone and how much the prime minister and our administration are implicated. Rama will gain time, this issue is still far from our country, but as long as the name of the prime minister is mentioned, it is not far at all, 14 times is not a little, it is a mountain.

We have independent institutions that should talk about money, from the statements of Mr. Rama, his advisers and so on. It did not happen, it shows that our problem is much bigger.

Rama is not afraid that he controls every institution, he has full power in our country, he is implicated, but if this issue lasts indefinitely with the procedures in the USA, he gains time.
