Have you contacted Kurt? The Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia is surprised by the answer

Artan Grubi, the Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia says that the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti has not consulted with the Macedonian government about the developments in the north of Kosovo.

For the show "Opinion", Grubi said that the highest officials of Kosovo should consult and coordinate their decisions with the United States of America.

Blendi Fevziu:  Have you contacted Kurti Mr. Grubi? You personally or the government of Macedonia?

Artan Grubi:  No. Neither Kurti with us, nor we with Kurti.

Blendi Fevziu:  A decision taken in Kosovo impacts the Albanians, it also impacts the Macedonian Albanians. In your opinion, what is happening in Kosovo and who is responsible?

Artan Grubi:  Kosovo is only 15 km away from Skopje and every development there is experienced as if it were development here, not only for Albanians but also for Macedonians because they see it as either a constructive or destabilizing factor, depending on the development. Every development in Kosovo has an extraordinary impact on Macedonia and arouses great fear among our fellow Macedonian citizens because in their minds the war of '98 and '99 in Kosovo produced the war of 2001 in Macedonia.

Blendi Fevziu:  How dangerous is the situation in Kosovo?

Artan Grubi:  As far as I have estimates, I don't see it as very dangerous. It was with great regret that we followed the developments there in the north, and I am very sorry for the violent actions of the Serbs there in the north. These developments came to President Vu?i? as a bingo due to the large protests in Serbia against the government and against President Vu?i?. Public opinion in Serbia is completely defocused. I don't see anything serious, no concern for President Vucic and he is trying to create a slanderous crisis in the north of Kosovo.

Blendi Fevziu: Cili duhet të jetë qëndrimi i Kurtit, sipas jush?

Artan Grubi: Ali Ahmeti që nga themelimi i partisë së tij nuk ka marrë një veidm të vetëm pa u konsultuar me SHBA. Vendime të mëdha flasim. Për çdo gjë kemi kërkuar pranim në ambasadën amerikane dhe në atë të BE, por kryesisht në atë amerikane. Vlerësoj që z.Kurti dhe qeveria e Kosovës do duhet të bashkërendojnë aktivitetet e veta afër me SHBA dhe BE.

Blendi Fevziu: A ka një krizë në raportet mes Kurtit dhe Shqipërisë ose shqiptarëve të Maqedonisë. Ju thatë s’kemi kontaktuar, Rama thotë nuk kemi kontaktuar. Kjo duket pak e çuditshme.

Artan Grubi:  Maybe he doesn't have time, maybe Prime Minister Kurti is too busy. The only contact was only for the Minister of the Interior. Apart from that, no official communication either from the embassy or from the government of Kosovo. We would love to help you.

Blendi Fevziu:  Internationals have asked you to influence?

Artan Grubi:  Yes, yes. Today I was on the national day of Italy, that's where I come from, and the main topic was the developments in Kosovo and whether we have contacted the authorities and whether we can influence with our contacts that we have in Kosovo to reduce tensions in the north and restore parties at the table.
