The Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, has stated that he has not met the former high official of the FBI, McGonigal, who is under investigation by American justice for his ties with Albania.

In an appearance for the media after the government meeting, Çuçi spoke, among other things, about the relations of the Albanian police with FBI officials .  The minister emphasized that the reports are with the institution and not with individual individuals.

As for McGonigal's entrances and exits in Albania, the minister said that the data is in the system and that, according to him, there is no secret.

Çuçi:  The police have a relationship with the institution, with the FBI and not certain persons, the police are assisted based on an agreement we have. The last concrete time was in the case of a cyber attack, that we had the help of the FBI. It was their expertise that identified the origin of cyber attacks.
