NATO Army "at war" with children at Shengjin Base

When Albania joined NATO it seemed like a triumphant achievement and we hoped that its army would reach the standards of other countries, but apparently it is not happening. For this it is enough to look, and from a distance, the military base of Shengjin. There are some semi-functional buildings and carcasses or skeletons of destroyed ships, although we have not fought with anyone except ourselves. Images that constitute an emblem postcard of the 97th, when the military arsenal of Albania was destroyed taking with it, or leaving forever disabled many children, young and old, whom it actually had to protect. This base for decades has been left in an almost abandoned state and so some of its corners in the west, where there was no siege, during the summer seasons have been revived mainly by children and young people vacationing, not only from Albania. Unable to find other ways in a society where the coastline is almost completely occupied and children’s parks have been turned into construction sites, these children and young people had found a way to have fun without any risk and no harm to anyone (nor for the military base) using ladders as springboards to jump on. But, for unknown reasons, these last two years guards have been deployed with soldiers, even armed ones, guarding a tunnel that has not been opened for more than thirty years. The maximum that can be found inside that tunnel is salt water and perhaps some rusty ship's hull or hull. Paradoxically, armed guards do not allow children to bathe in a place that does not spoil anyone. This is as dramatic as it is funny. This ugly figure of our army is made in front of vacationers, and adults, mainly from Kosovo, who a few decades ago thought of the army of their motherland, glorious Albania and as their only savior. These children and young people hear one thing at school about our military mission, another thing they are experiencing from their feminine or adolescent experience. There is enough space for the base and for the children to have fun. Let the children have fun, in their own way, not dictated by the toy industry (often and cancerous) and the lucrative interest of commercial centers, because the blood of many Albanian soldiers who gave their lives for Albania and for the glory of its army, has gone and for their happiness.
