In a task of this importance, it happened that one of our commanders, N. Koçia, in the spring of that year, caught a motorboat in which it was later said and suspected that Leka Zogu could have been in it. Something really surprising. But was it possible? While the period in question in 1982 coincides with the stay of Leka Zogu "on vacation" in Italy in San Foca of Lecca and that Xhevdet Mustafa had been there and paid a visit to us, it means that the landing plan was more coordinated at best. It is interesting that after this motorboat was caught in the west of Karaburun and its commander started to accompany it to Vlora, another order comes from the ministry, that this motorboat be taken out of our waters and left free. After they had set him free and made sure of his departure, then they began to "crucify" the captain of the ship as to why he left this speedboat free by doing analysis after analysis. But could Leka Zogu really be on that motorboat? Both possibilities exist, but the fact that once the order was given to accompany the facility to Vlora and then comes the next order that you take out of our waters and release it, makes you doubt a lot, especially when it was well known that Xhevdet Mustafa and Leka Zogu had an early friendship with each other, a friendship that was linked to hatred of Enver Hoxha's regime. In these circumstances, Kadri Hazbiu dismissed and suspended our officer and gave an order to investigate the matter. He acted as "angry with rage" as to why they left the ship free, where suspicion fell, (perhaps removed as if he were one) as it is no wonder that he or other members of the internal "big gang" personally ordered the release of him through incomprehensible channels. In our country, especially in the Regiment of Torpedoes of the base of Sazan, a serious psychological condition was created because in addition to this motorboat which was left free, it happened that other very fast vehicles entered to violate our waters day and night and leave with great speed. This may have been one of the points of foreign intelligence, who deliberately violated the sea border, to tax the pulse, to get acquainted with the degree of readiness of our ships in guarding the maritime borders, to discover the strengths and weaknesses, while on the other hand the minister threatened our superiors, that either you catch the motorboats or here you are in prison. Later in the opposite when we opened fire on one of them, he went on the opposite of those threats demanding accountability to our Commander T. Meçe and Q. Hysi who gave you the order to open fire on him? And here is how it happened: It was July 22, 1982, when I was going to take over the task of patrolling and ambushing the ambush with the second squadron ship. went out to sea on duty ordered me: Commander! While I was shown his picture, there is no question that my superiors knew even more than I did about this expected gang. As the hands of the clock showed the afternoon of dt. July 25, which coincided with our leaving the service and handing it over to another patrol boat to replace us, we see on the horizon that from the side of Corfu or more precisely in the maritime space between Himara and Corfu in our direction was coming a white speedboat with great speed. They could not see us and could not distinguish us, since we were at a stop and floating on the sea in a free state, moreover, the military ships have the color of the sea that increases the degree of difficulty to observe and distinguish them. At this time I gave the "Combat Alarm", not that we were on alert for three days and three nights ordering the ship's commander A. Kamberi to prepare the ship with very fast actions. And so it happened, for almost 2-3 minutes the 502 torpedo boat was on full alert. They had not yet seen us, as we with surprise and unexpected actions for them, came face to face. Of course their confusion, but quickly recovered and turned the steering wheel to the left taking direction from the West. This maneuver served them to get away because it had vast sea space and in addition to its speed, it was very large having on board three powerful engines with fast revs, which gave them the opportunity to exceed the speed of our ship. But we were already very close to them. We warned them with red signal bullets to stop, a sign that meant they would carry out our orders otherwise we would open fire. We repeated this action 2-3 more times as the two of us we watched were stubborn. I address the ship's machine gunners to open warning fire with machine guns 20-25 m above the speedboat, ordering no bullets on the ship and its crew. And our wonderful machine guns carried out the task so well as this ship was still not stopping. Time did not wait, if the speedboat came out of our waters it would be a great shame for us, a failure to accomplish duty, a trampling of our dignity as soldiers in defense of the Homeland and where? Exactly within our Homeland. The commander of the ship, A. Kamberi, takes a machine gun from the armor and tries to shoot at the engines of the ship in order to get at least one of them out of function (I emphasize that there were three engines off board), but from the movements on the wave that the ship sometimes landing and sometimes rising, one of the machine gun bullets hit the captain of the ship. Did we want to kill him? Not at all, we did not want this and did not want to do it. What if he would not stop again? This was our last chance. We would open fire on them if they were ready to get out of our border waters. There was no other way. The captain was seriously injured and fell as his friend took the helm. Apparently all this pursuit operation and gun confrontation situation forced his colleague to stop the engines. To make sure we took the other person on our ship and gave first aid to the captain, who had in fact died on his ship. We checked the condition of the motorboat, checked that there were no others. I must emphasize that the whole situation was followed with concern by the ministry, the Fleet Command, the Sazan Island Command, the signal-observation points and the submarine artillery units. To our aid, after we had completed the mission, another quadruped came from Sazan base, as a couple of our fighter jets flew over our airspace to show that we are here with you. From conversations with my comrades in arms of various kinds they had the idea that we were fighting and exchanging fire with enemies, bandits or smugglers whoever they were. Thus in this situation they were concerned. But this wrong "image" was given by the echo of our machine guns and machine guns which were initially heard and the echo at sea repeated the "shooting" again. We thought that while we were waiting for Xhevdet Mustafa, the ship we encountered had to belong to this mission, even though the captain of the ship from a distance had Xhevdet's malleable and muscular body. But no. According to the subsequent data of expertise and judgment by our bodies, it turned out to be just a ship of smugglers. In fact this mission may have been known only to the captain and when I say mission, I mean the task of checking not only the degree of readiness, but indirectly and discovering where we had our points and where our waiting ships were staying. I lean a lot from the latter, as Kadri Hazbiu already strangely in the opposite of previous behaviors, started threatening our superiors who was ordered to shoot ?! Why did you shoot without permission? Our commander Q. Hysi and maybe comrade T. Meçe and N. Jaku, who was called to Tirana for this problem, gave a wonderful answer, saying that we shot in the name of the Homeland. Of course, I am very convinced that the ship disguised as a "smuggler" did not intend to land, but in the sum of all the violations of our maritime space until the de facto landing of Xhevdet's gang in September 1982, so only two months later, this whole period has been characterized by numerous violations of our maritime border. In the event of such a landing as it happened not far from our event, that is, in September 1982, it would be foolish if the foreign discovery did not study in great detail not only the hydro-navigation landing region, but also the way of organizing and preserving the naval and b / naval space that our forces made. Although it was not the band we expected, we did our part in fanatically guarding our maritime borders. But it could have been the gang itself, which we expected and were fully aware of its activity. In those complicated situations anything could be expected from the enemy. Two months later the mystery would be solved and the name of the kapobanda would appear on the scene, who was called Xhevdet Mustafa, surrounded by our forces and who could not even see the sun of the Albanian land and no longer fulfill the mission they had charged his outer masters in unison with the inner bandits.
