In the November 12 protest, it was not the people, but the militants

In the November 12 protest, it was not the people, but the militants

Various assessments continue to be made for the November 12 protest organized by the opposition. Looking at it according to the wings of politics, some call it "magnificent", "the biggest in the history of DP" and others minimize it, calling it "abandonment" of Berisha and Meta. To be realistic, the protest had a large number of participants, but it was no longer "historic." The protest remains in history, not by the number of participants, but by the mission it carries out and the message it conveys for the future. In terms of organization and purpose, it was clear that this was a protest of militants and not a protest of the "revolted" people. Protests that bring change are those that arise from below, from people who are suffering and push political leaders to channel their demands, and not when the party leaders distribute the first invitations and roam with lists in hand in the districts to gather as many people as possible. In addition to the mission and the message, in a protest, it is important who are its organizers, the political parties, or the unions and honest intellectuals... So far, four real protests have been held, inspired by major concerns. The first was the movement of December 1991, instigated by the people themselves, the trade unions, the students, who, oppressed by the dictatorship, overthrew the monist regime. The second big protest was the one organized by the people revolted by the political imprisonment of Fatos Nano, in July 1993. Hundreds of thousands of people "rocked" Skënderbej Square that afternoon and showed the world how Berisha treated the opposition leaders. Another great protest, in terms of the spirit and the message it conveyed, it was what civil society organized in November 2013 for the rejection of chemical weapons, and everyone saw its result. Also a protest with a broad objective and spirit, was that of the students in December 2018, which forced the Prime Minister to change half of the government. Berisha's and Meta's protest did not have any of those that a popular protest should have, neither the spirit, nor the message, nor the laying of other alternatives. Saturday's protest was characterized by the venting of insults, curses, grudges, insults and threats. These were noted from the vocabulary of all discussants, who read prepared speeches. In popular revolts there is no need for pre-prepared speeches on paper, as the word comes out naturally, calmly, persuasively and inspiringly. Poisonous to the nation and threatening to the leader of the majority, it was the language of two leaders, Berisha and Meta, whose aggressiveness Albanians have been listening to for 30 years. Berisha as chief prosecutor shouted: "Edi Rama, we will archive your monism together with you." You belong in prison, under special regime. We will take you there!" Meta continued the vengeful "serenade": "Very soon (Rama) will be in front of justice, according to the signatures thrown by him. You have the right to demand accountability from the government, to expel it, when the government sells the homeland as Rilindja did." Then Meta and Berisha thank the protesters "for restoring hope and awakening the people for the salvation of Albania from Renaissance." Where was the hope, the faith, the alternative for the salvation of Albania in this protest, only the duo Berisha-Meta saw. The protest was of the militants, because it demanded the overthrow of the government, and not its construction, as it did not disclose any alternative. The protest of November 12, a few days before its development, was echoed by excited politicians and journalists, who were waiting "with spoons in their belts" for Berisha's prosperous table to be laid. Those present at the panel gave their opinions on the "unprecedented" expectation of this major protest. But an impartial lecturer gave the correct answer to the moderator Fevziu's question, whether he would participate in the protest. "No - she answered, I will not participate. I support any protest that seeks to remove evil, not serve one person's interests. This political class has fulfilled its mission, so they must be removed. I'm for protests that drive away the evil that has consumed this country." This is the opinion of the majority of Albanians that this political class should be removed, that a lesser evil cannot be substituted for a greater evil. The biggest bluff of the protest was that it was organized by someone declared "non grata" by the West, and honest Albanians can never follow a politician who is against Western democracy, and who tries to survive in politics with corruption and diktat. Can anyone trust Berisha's followers, like Rudina Hajdari, who glorify her father's killer in the stands? Berisha threatens with other protests, but forgets that in addition to the "non-women" label, he must also clarify another accusation that has been made against him recently, whether or not he has met with Putin's envoy and argue why Albania voted for Dick Marty's project? Seeing the situation Berisha is in with his ridiculous slogan "Albania in danger, the people ask: who is in danger, Albania or Berisha? Finally, it must be admitted that the lack of spirit and message of that protest is also related to the fact that the majority of the people are not as poor as they claim from morning to evening, some malicious media and parties, on the contrary, they know how to appreciate the achievements , but also to disagree with the mistakes of this government. When the people rise up, the government runs away on its own, when the militants curse, the protest turns into a boomerang. But while not denying the concerns of the people, our Prime Minister should read the protest correctly, learn the right lessons, rely more strongly on the socialists and honest people, because there were also some participants in this protest who are really Hallelujahs. The people are no longer lied to, neither by the screaming protests, nor by the government's slogans. or Berisha?
