Poor teachers!

Poor teachers!

Miserable?

Yes, really miserable! Without personality, without dignity, exploited, underpaid!
Captives of bureaucracy and whims, more precisely the multi-million euro tenders of government clients and "strategic education investors", who may even be relatives of ministers!
Prisoners and hostages of a rotten educational system!

I will not talk about the hundreds and thousands of problems that teachers face. I will not talk about the moralist philosophers, academics and academic candidates who hate teachers' flowers for March 7 and anathema teachers as corrupt, while they are SILENT about the corruption of doctors, police, administration, politicians!

Today I'm going to talk about one of the most absurd orders that has come out these days, and which torments teachers and eats up the little free time they may have to relax in the afternoons or between classes.
It overwhelms them, although the teachers have homework corrections, diary preparation, preparation for the next day, etc., etc. every day.
I'm talking about the Pre-University Information Management System, or SMIP for short!

According to this project-tender of the government, every day teachers must enter the topics, grades, absences, communication with parents, tasks, etc., etc. into the system.
The absurdity is that through this system, which was supposed to control some things, the teachers are actually burdened and tortured with several hours of work, which were neither provided for in the teaching norm, nor paid nor evaluated. Even more so now that we are in the month of March, SMIP is still having functional problems and teachers have to fill in a short period of time a huge workload at the end of the quarter when they have to conduct tests, correct them and they issue the results for several tens or hundreds of students, whom they teach, so they have to complete and enter the grades and absences into the system from September until now.

Normale? Aspak!

And, just for information: In those countries of the world where this system works, the chancellors of the educational institutions, not the teachers, deal with the bureaucracies. And then we say why the education system in Albania is failed and is producing functional illiterates, why education is bankrupt; why don't we have students and, in the near future, even teachers! But, since the unions do not work in Albania, which should stand up in defense of the teachers' rights, the next step of the government is for the teachers to explain the lesson either with one leg, or with a vertical one!
And poor teachers, of course they will!
