International relations in decline

(Second part)

This is due to the fact that extreme right and populist forces are taking power in the old continent. If not acted upon very quickly, they could lead Europe to a third world war, and European examples are visible and not lacking in our world history. Therefore, in these turbulent and confusing times, only cooperation between all world states is needed to bring international relations to the necessary positivity and normality, as the American writer Deborah Tannen has said: "Cooperation is not the absence of conflict, but a way to to manage the conflict." Today's international relations are in a not very clear situation, because the consequences of this situation will be felt in a few years. Indeed, the cooperation between the states during these last decades has not been at the right level, because there have been gaps between the states on many different problems and issues, but their politicians have known how to overcome their political egos and extended the hand of reconciliation and of compromise, which among politicians of today's new generation does not exist or is very superficial. The tongue itself where the tooth hurts. And we, as Europeans, are very concerned about the current state of the old continent, Europe. Today, in today's European political spectrum, liberalism and convergence of ideas and attitudes are no longer seen, but more populism, right-wing or left-wing extremism and political egoism are noticed in the different attitudes of the states against each other. Because, as Nikita Khrushchev said, these types of politicians promise to build bridges there too, where no river flows. Today's situation can be compared to the situation of the 1930s, where the extreme right rose to the top and led the world to a human, humanitarian, economic and political catastrophe. One of the most significant statements about this political trend is that you can compare populism to a straw flame, which neither warms you nor illuminates you, but only makes smoke and pollutes the surrounding environment. Therefore, it is important to raise the awareness of all Europeans regarding the serious consequences that Europe and the whole world may have later regarding the support that is being given to these apparently "democratic" forces that follow the "popular line". A united Europe must rise above too narrow populist and petty political positions and come up with a more forward-looking approach and a broader vision, because in the end the Europeans will suffer the consequences of the political irresponsibility of their states. Because the saying, said by the famous French general Charles de Gaulle, that the unification of Europe will not be done by any European statesman, but Europe will be united by the Chinese, may come true. True??? Almost all countries in the Middle East and North Africa and the Magreb countries have experienced major social and political changes in recent years. Their political, economic and social situation is unfortunate, because there we have a clash of civilizations, the Orient against the Occident. It is also a confrontation between Islamization and modernity. Military interventions in Libya and Egypt and military confrontations in Syria and Yemen have further worsened the situation in this area of ??the planet, because in these countries these planted political, social and social insecurity, radicalism and instability, which does not only involve these countries, but also affects the surrounding countries and beyond, because they have forced millions of people to flee to neighboring countries and Europe. Therefore, I think that these interventions did not bring any kind of democratic and economic change. Because in today's political reality, freedom has no value, if there is no economic and financial development. We can also say that Tunisia will gradually be affected by this type of syndrome. Because all this belongs to a chain reaction, which cannot be stopped, but it can only be carved by a responsible and well-curated policy. What we must admit is that the Arab Spring has alienated the geopolitical spectrum and caused widespread political unrest, because within a short time the authoritarian rulers in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen, who had ruled their countries for decades, were overthrown by protests and violent demonstrations. Let's wait, what will happen in the future in this part of the globe, in my opinion it will become the center of gravity of future international relations. Regarding the war in Ukraine and Putin's Russia, I want to emphasize once again the opinion and idea that is spreading in today's European and world circles, that it is better for the USA, Europe and the world, that after the end of the war in this country, and the most beneficial is Putin's stay in power (this is the most possible), because if any controversial and nationalist Russian political figure comes to power, then the biggest danger is the disintegration and division of the Russian Federation into insignificant ministries, which will hermetize it more and make the internal Russian situation more chaotic, which will make the new order of relations between - national. Between two evils, let the lesser evil be chosen.
