Vangjel Sako is with us, he left his mark and wrote his name! You have lost the love of your heart, the light of your eyes, the pillar of the house, I have lost a friend that I can no longer find, because I don't like it anymore, special to the point of a warm glow in all human virtues. Albanian journalism lost a professional and courageous journalist, true and knowledgeable, dear friend forever, Vangjel Sako. Not only their parents are proud of Arjola and Flori, but also "Ismail Qemali" University, Vlora, where they were educated as exemplary students with excellent results. Vangjel Sako's root family consisted of 2 parents, 3 sons and 1 daughter. Vangjeli was born in Çiflik of Kuçova, Berat, on August 6, 1959 to wonderful parents Lefterì and Llambi Sako. Vangjel Sako attended the General Military High School "Skënderbej", Tirana during the years 1974-1978, where he acquired theoretical and practical skills for military personnel. During the years 1979-1982, he completed the Military Academy, Tirana (former United High School of Officers "E. Hoxha", Tirana), where, acquiring theoretical, practical and research skills in the military field, in the Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AKA) branch , was titled officer. In the years 1982-1994 he worked as an officer in various duties in the Kukes Division, while in the years 1994-1996 he worked as an officer in various duties in the Fier Division. The beginning of 1996 was wild for the army, but Vangjeli did not fall, he managed to walk, orient himself, reform. He took a circuitous route to Belgium as a family. But, even though he started building a good life in exile, he was burning with longing for the Motherland. Vangjeli was a correct and responsible person, able to adapt and cooperate in an excellent way in the group. He had study, communication skills and excellent social and professional relationships, which he knew how to create so beautifully with people. He knew people's characters and entered their world, knew their psychology and entered their skin. He was charitable and helped many people in need or solved various problems that arose in their lives, at work, with power, with politics, etc., because he was brave of the right word. Vangjel Sako gave a new and civic face to journalism in Vlora, Fier and Tirana. He was a journalist/opinionist in the central newspaper "Sot", Tirana from 2003-2023; also, in this period of time he worked as a journalist/opinionist on the radio "Val' e Kaltër", Vlorë; while in the years 2005-2018 journalist, iTV correspondent Apollon Fier for Vlora. Vangjeli was a journalist on the ground and a man of visionary ideas, publicist and polemicist fair, correct and serious, while his humor with pepper was as stinging as it was healing. Vangjel Sako gave an outstanding help as the director of the "Albania Times" newspaper. from the day it was founded in the seaside town until the paper closed. Vangjel Sako was an inquisitive writer, very strict with himself, who felt aversion to balloon boasts. Since 2015, he had prepared a book of literary prose, which he confidently handed over to me for editing, and the book was ready for publication in 2017, but he did not publish it while he was alive, because he was worried about how it would be expected from the reader. "I either want to come out, or I don't want to come out at all" - he tried to convince me, when I insisted on publishing the book because it met the appropriate literary criteria. The book is entitled "Life on a plate", it is a volume with 20 stories, to which I wrote the preface, where, among other things, I write: "Vangjel Sako's stories come beautifully, because they are true, filled with cider from living life ... The short prose of the author Vangjel Sako is a glass of pure literary water, refreshing the Sea of ??Albanian Letters. We are not dealing with a late literary stream, but with an attentive guardian of the pen, who has respect for the blessed word. The writer has a rich writing experience, over 45 years. It was the first autumn of 1975, when I became familiar with the poems of the beginning and the stinging and healing humor of the Skenderbegs sprouted from ?ifliku i Kuçova, by the 16-year-old Vangjel Llambi Sako, almost my age... The literary corner "Gun and Pen" of the young writers of the "Skënderbej" Military General High School, Tirana who recognized us and the friendship of the pen between us is kept open, mutual, benevolent, inspiring, even today. Definitely and the following. I thought of his early writings. I also remembered his free and pathos poems, especially the satirical ones, which aimed arrows at the vices of the time, which he published under the pseudonyms VLLASAK and PIPIRICKA. On this occasion, even though the Vlonjat, Fierak, Beratas, Kukësian or all Albanian readers have known Sako through popular journalism or prominent publicist writings, I am reminding my friends of letters that he is not a new pen in literature, but has a lot of literary experience, because he has a lot of claims on himself, he is afraid of the pen. He calls grace the pen. Therefore, reading through his prose flows pleasantly, because he takes the topic from the reality he experiences himself and knows what he chooses and how he treats the subject. Vangjel Sako reflects reality directly, as he feels without thinking that he is writing literature. Those that catch his eye and ear, if they resist his creative laboratory, Sako puts them on paper without fear. He doesn't like aquariums when he has the sea nearby. And I bring "Life on a plate"... The book has not yet entered the publishing process, even though more than 7 years have passed, but I think that Arjola and Flori will fulfill their father's legacy, because Vangjeli left his passion for literature to his daughter. He was a high school senior when Arjola gave us a charming book of essays - stories titled "Before the Mirror of Desires" and I remember that I published an article for him in a central newspaper in Tirana with the title "A seagull from Vlore on the sea of ??aesthetics". We will present the professional, literary, cultural and human profile of the author, Vangjel Sako, vlonatized by Kuçova, with one of his expressions: "Living near the sea, I became like him"... The wonderful family of the journalist, writer, former major and chess player Vangjel Sako was and is a model for our society; our friendship with him - pride for us. But we couldn't keep our beloved Jack, he left us like a beautiful dream with high ideals. O our Dzheka, soul brother and ideal Vangjel Sako! Fly on the white wings of Remembrance! Be of light!
