When political action turns into personal bargaining, "I told you, I told you"

The Democratic Party of Albania is today in the most difficult situation since its creation. I am not the author of this conclusion. The seal, after noticing this fact by many political factors, has been put by the mayor himself "de facto" since its inception, Sali Berisha. This is sensitive today from the entire Albanian political spectrum. The "gentlemen of the house", the real Democrats, are saddened by this situation, especially those who have been there since its inception, when they remember the great hope that this party raised in the early 1990s. We who call ourselves "gray voters" because we are not hardened either here or there, but we are more accurate in our judgment and we love more true political pluralism, our souls also hurt when we see that the largest party the opposition has crumbled into this kind of religion. The leftists look at this situation with the eyes of a sinner and also rub their hands when they see that the statements made by their leader Edi Rama once that "this party will turn this into an NGO" are being proven in reality. But everyone agrees that this party is reaping what it has sown in these 30 years. Enjoying the fruits of power, she forgot almost every norm of democracy and turned into almost like a one-party party that she herself overthrew in that early democracy. Its leader in all these years never thought about strengthening the party, but was guided by the defeatist principle that "to be economically strong because we are, is the party". But when the party needed them, they abandoned it or even were excluded from this leadership. It is really painful what is happening today in this party when the two leaders who have led it for almost 30 years, accuse each other of destroying it and fight openly as if they were its owners. Aggressive Sali Berisha, the "imam" of this party and almost passive its "de jure" chairman, Lulzim Basha. In fact, the latter has chosen to be modern and European in its relationship with the former party chairman and his tutor, Sali Berisha. He even declares from the rostrum of the Parliament that he does not reject the 16 years of cooperation with him. He is sticking to the "ready as a soldier" clever popular expression that "silence is gold". We all know that he made the decision to expel the former speaker from the parliamentary group "by definition" and chose him among the dilemmas of "excluding the political father" or excluding the entire party from American attention. And made the best choice. But we must remind Mr. Basha that not always "silence is gold". In the duel to get the renewed leader of this party, a duelist Sali Berisha has drawn the "sword", even the "heavy artillery" while Basha continues to be "shy" in the party headquarters. He should also defend himself in order to defend his position. I do not ask him to bring to the political bargain the many intimacies with his tutor, that they are endless and are becoming public, sinking the two protagonists, but even as he is acting that is covering all, it is not in his best interest. He can not be as aggressive as Sali, but even a "poison head arrow" at him should be released. What he is currently doing makes you suspect that behind him stands Yuri Kim himself who has apparently taught him not to attack that when the right time comes, it will be what will lead him to an "arrow with head with poison "Saliu, from those" Made in USA "that will eat the head of his former president. Knowing this, Basha is keeping quiet more than he should. On the other side of the front we have a relentless fighter of political duel who, although he has been declaring that he leads the right for almost 30 years, has started the fight for two features of the left: the unity and sovereignty of the party. At first glance it looks like those Christopher Columbus type explorers who take the sea on foot to discover new lands, forgetting that he himself was the lord of those lands. He is in fact a "superhuman" when he gets the courage to seek to rebuild a building that he himself destroyed. He recalls that he is in the same situation as in the early 1990s, when a whistle blew hundreds of thousands of protesters in Student Square, eager for democracy. He is apparently in the dream of those years he filled, more precisely he overcame the rally squares when he went through the districts. He forgets that he has been in this thirty years of democracy for half a year in power and has done nothing for the true Democrats, who are already venting their frustration on him. Not only that, but he is wrong from the beginning of what he has called "Foltore". He is not really a slave to this name, but he is turning this tribune into a derivative of this sweet word of the Albanian language, in "Llafosje". No inspiring ideas for the political action he has taken. Nothing transparent that whatever happens to this party once they overthrow Lulzim Basha. No concrete name of who will be the chairman of this party after that. It looked like it would be Albanian-Greek-American, the Kokalari sucker, but it melted like sugar in water. Even institutionally he is wrong. The party leader does not deal with militants. Because we are not in the Middle East. He should even know that the party is not the deputies, because he goes into euphoria when one of them breaks away from Basha and clings to him. They are members of the Parliamentary Group of this party and only in this line they are worth the vote, but in the party there is a Chairman and a National Council that decide through votes when they should remove the current chairman and put what Berisha wants. And these votes are in favor of Basha. To laugh and cry, but Berisha with what he is doing today reminds me of the time of the deceased, when war veterans told their grandchildren the woes of war. It happened once between the veteran grandfather and 5-year-old nephew that almost every day he showed partisan heroism. At one point when the nephew asked his grandfather that "the Germans were so cowardly oh grandfather that you killed so many and none of you were injured" he is forced to tell him that they too were brave and once captured 30 partisans. When the nephew asked him "what happened to the captives", the grandfather told him that their commander had come and stated that there were two alternatives: they would either be shot or they would do that evil job from behind. When the nephew asked him, "What group did you go to, Grandpa?" Grandpa was shot in '44 and told tales to his nephew in the '70s. Even Sali Berisha, shot himself in 2013 when he allegedly resigned from any party post and now returns after almost 10 years to be at the top again. He must become self-aware that he is no longer the former Sali Berisha who, although he filled the squares at the electoral rallies, only won the March '92 elections without cheating. With 100 - 200 rallies that he gathers in the halls where they greet him with cheers, he can not defeat Lulzim Basha because wherever he has gone every city has at least 20-25 thousand Democrats sure voters who are many compared to those who surround Sali. If you follow Sali carefully through these "chatter" that he is doing in the cities, there is no truth about the unity and sovereignty of this party, but only his whispers that "I told this to Basha in my office in 2017", " I told him this in 2019 ", I told him briefly and he told me. Political duels are won through the announcement of new ideas that will be unveiled to the militants and not by the desire of one or the other to return to the helm of the party, be it the PD.
