Kosovo in the challenge of state formation and the magnifying glass of diplomacy

The situation in Kosovo continues to precipitate minute by minute. The local Serbs, after earlier creating a precedent of abandoning institutions under the pretext of replacing vehicle license plates with KS symbols, now do not allow elected mayors to enter the office to perform their constitutional functions. Violent protests have spared not only Kosovo policemen, but also those of KFOR. Albin Kurti teaches the thesis that it is within the constitutional right to administer the territory of the Republic, despite the international approaches that call the way it is being proceeded rushed and suggest dialogue. This call for dialogue seems unproductive as long as the Serbs are not interested in finding a solution and do not agree with the reality of recognizing Kosovo's independence. Dialogue for dialogue is empty cacophony. Undoubtedly, official Serbia is the orchestrator of this whole approach, and this time the tension created after the opposition protests that articulated the resignation of Vucic regarding a series of murders that occurred in a school and somewhere else, sought to be vented across the borders. The internationals also fell prey to this game or strategy intentionally or unintentionally. This time, at least in the media, alongside the Europeans where France remains the most aggressive, our strategic ally the USA was also in resonance. But why did those who were the designers and direct initiators of the declaration of Kosovo's independence choose this position?! I think that this is more of a diplomatic move, to ease the position of Vu?i?, who is seen as a moderate, in relation to the extremist Philorus wing; which serves the spirit of dialogue and advancing the agenda. It is naive and cynical to think that the government of Kosovo and Albin Kurti acted a priori; the American appeal is that it takes a tactical retreat, some patience and a vision for the future. In more than one case, the Kurti government dared to challenge the propaganda, the machinations of the Serbian bureaucratic apparatus and the paramilitary forces, to put the border at the border, to show who are the "masters of the house". We can also draw a parallel with the conflict in Ukraine, where the delusion of the greatness of the Russian army was badly extinguished. The Serbs who are used to being victimized and seeking benefits, as they feel that they are losing ground, will aim with all means for the cantonization of Kosovo, the life of the association. Mitrovica, in the version of self-government, of a substantial autonomy, is the nail where they want to hang their jacket, to prevent prosperity and to keep open accounts with official Pristina. Plus the myth "Kosovo is the cradle of Serbia" remains intact, a prerequisite for the status quo of every bureaucrat and political subject; a tunnel to escape real life problems. In this context, Kosovo must show wisdom, become more playful and operative in an indisputable partnership with the USA. Unfortunately, despite God's will and right, over 100 years of occupation and historical injustice cannot be corrected with almost two decades of independence.
