On May 26 and 27, 2023, the 8th Congress of Ophthalmologists of the Region will be held in Tirana with the participation of Doctors from the Albanian territories of Kosovo, North Macedonia and Albania. The Association of Ophthalmologists, since its creation in 1992, with this designation that it received from the Order of the Minister of Health, with Order No. 18 dated 09 / 04 / 1992 and until today, with work and effort has achieved a series of successes and objectives in close cooperation with all the countries of the Region and the United States of America. Since the first days of its creation, the Association. has had as its purpose: To raise the technical and scientific level of its members; To spread the advanced experience of its local and foreign members; Increase the level of clinical and diagnostic work; To promote the initiative of research and scientific work; To create connections and cooperation with similar foreign associations of neighboring countries and the Region. During these years, from 2010 to 2020, it has been possible to move to a higher and qualitative level of organization of scientific and social activities, moving from the level of National Conferences of the Association to the next higher level of organization. of National Congresses.
