Tribute to the 60th anniversary of the gymnasium and the first graduation in Pukë

Tribute to the 60th anniversary of the gymnasium and the first graduation in

March 15, 1963 dates to the 60th anniversary of the opening of the gymnasium in the city of Pukë. This date is a marked event for the first 42 students and as a starting point in the history of secondary education within the district. The population of Puka had a desire for the growth of knowledge and culture through education. Convincing evidence was the fortunate event of the opening of the first Albanian school in Iballe in 1903, which was even earlier than that of the districts of Kukës, Lezhë and Tropoja. The delayed opening of the secondary school resulted in lost years, which cost hundreds of young people a lack of proper education. The opening day of the gymnasium, as witnessed by the students and teachers present, turned into a popular holiday, which warmed the hearts of young people, their parents and other participants. The symbols of that day recall the students' welcome greeting, congratulations on success in lessons, getting to know each other and a joint photo with the teachers. The night before, 35 young men and women from the villages were accommodated in the dormitory building almost next to the school. The 56 generations of high school graduates constitute the real treasure of the historical contributions of this home. The opinions of specialized circles and generations of graduates have dedicated the golden crown to the first matura of 1966. The values ??of this matura have also been confirmed with the evaluative conclusions of the controls exercised by the teams of the Ministry of Education. Achieving high results in lessons was also dedicated to the work with passion, patience and coping with difficulties by the respective directors Jazo Bilani and Xhevdet Hoxha, as well as teachers Zyhdi Heqimi, Karaman Ulqini, Adnan Beli, Fatmir Kazazi, Qamil Akshia, Xhildo Haxhia, Ismet Bushati, Mehmet Hoxha, Xhemal Smaja, Ndue Pjetri, Isuf Groshi and the guardian teachers of the class, Grand Master Xhemal Meçi. The preoccupation and help of the education section and the corresponding chief Mehmet Hoti were appreciated. Teachers and individual certificates testify to students with higher results and exemplary behavior. They are Kolec Daja, guardian of the class, always with a certificate, Tonin Deda, Pashk Leka and Hil Alia and others. Decision no. 50 dt 03.10.2016, with which the title of "Honorary Citizen" of the Pukë Municipality is awarded to the first matura 1966, remains the proper legitimacy. This honorary title was awarded to 22 graduates: pharmacist Kolec Daja, mathematician Pashk Leka, doctor Dod Suta, dentist Mustaf Xhemali, engineers: geology Tonin Deda, mechanics Hil Alia, electrician Pjetër Leka, topographer Gjon Lleshi, foresters Nikoll Pali and Destan Mehmeti, economist Pjetër Dema, teachers: language-literature Sabah Sinani, Tone Çuni, history-geography Gjon Gjoka and Gjovalin Alia, officer Murat Huli and culture worker Riza Hoxha, surveyors Beslim Ago and Bilal Laçi, driver Rrok Daja and employees: trade Kudret Bobolli and administration Eftemi Gega. As a Pukyan with desires and dedication for the best of our country, I have acquaintances with every high school graduate, with most friendships and with some direct work relationship. There is something to be said for everyone in the professional aspect, in relationships and results at work, behaviors in society, up to family consolidation, etc. Graduates with high results in gymnasium continued this progress in higher schools, from 16 of them who finished higher schools, stand out as the most distinguished in the completion of higher studies and later in life. Among them, Kolec Daja stands out, who out of the 24 subjects of the curriculum in 22 of them received the maximum evaluation, ranked as an excellent student for a pharmacist. With the most optimal pharmacist ethics and high scientific level, he served as a director in the pharmacy network in Puka and in the metropolis as the director of pharmacies in the department, finally an elite pharmacist in the capital. Tonin Deda, passionate about minerals since childhood, completed his studies as a geological engineer with high results. He is the first Pukyan geologist in charge of mineral research and discovery, awarded with the degree of Doctor of Sciences and laureates of the Republic Prize. He has shown skills as a chief geologist, company director and as a scientific worker at the Institute of Geo-Sciences and the Geological Service. Pashk Leka, with a passion for exact sciences, completed his studies with high results in mathematics. Devoted to the profession, he has been awarded a Meritorious Teacher and with the title of Prof. Dr. As a teacher, school director, Head of the Education Section and then a lecturer at the Agricultural University, he has had success and enjoyed a good reputation. Hil Alia, eager for knowledge in mechanical sciences, graduated with honors as a mechanical engineer. As chief engineer in the Fushë-Arrëz Automotive Park and engineer in the Municipality of Tirana, he has demonstrated professional and management skills with impacts on increasing the qualification of employees, laying out mechanization, increasing the quality of vehicle repair services, the readiness coefficient and the use of those , etc. Pjeter Dema, graduated with satisfactory results as an economist. With the acquired skills, his sincerity and seriousness in the exercise of the profession has been distinguished as the head of the planning section and in the performance of his duties as a director in the Agricultural, Trade and Wood Processing Enterprise. He pursued a career as the leader of the local government, deputy minister of Energy and deputy in the Albanian Parliament. Sabah Sinani, fond of the language, completed his studies in Albanian language-literature and journalism with satisfactory results. Preparation, love for the profession, seriousness and dedication to work increased his practical, methodical and scientific effectiveness in the field of education. As a teacher, school director or inspector and exemplary specialist, added to his tendencies and authorship in studies and publications, he completed and made it with unique values ??for education and journalism. He was honored by giving the name Sabah Sinani to the school of Kabashi, his birthplace and the gymnasium of Puka. Gjovalin Alia, distinguished historian and geographer for eco-tourism and with studies, references and publications on subjects from the Pukës region, also deserves praise. Riza Hoxha has made a name for herself as an outstanding choreographer, master of popular dance and as a researcher and choreographic leader. The values ??and contributions of each of the first graduates are undeniable. To highlight their values, contributions and generalized life, it is worth writing a separate monograph. The years 1975-1985 culminated in the operation of 10 high schools, of which two were general and with separate branches in the urban centers of Pukë and Fushë Arrëz and eight others with an agricultural profile in rural centers. The operation of one secondary school for every four to five thousand inhabitants normally covered the territorial and demographic extent of learning in the district. From the teaching nursery of the high school of Puka and from the entire network of high schools, higher education was made possible for the needs in all branches and sectors. Puka, since 1985, has been working on its own with specialists and managers of every field and level. Among them there are well-qualified specialists, intellectuals and even scientific workers of national proportions. Only education and knowledge made this miracle, a former dream, a reality. since 1985, I have been working on my own with specialists and managers of every field and level.
