The Albanian language and Edi Rama's tourism obsession

The Albanian language and Edi Rama's tourism obsession

For years we have been living in a time when the rivers have dried up and the streams have overflowed. Language is a science, it is a spiritual "living species" and like all others it is subject to the dialectical law of movement, change, development. And the weighty words in this development are the progress of the productive forces, the relations in this production of material goods and the level of social intelligence that arises in each given era. Now, damn it, we have a problem that the homeland, the nation, the land, and among them the language are disappearing, disappearing, disappearing, while some 'intellectual' people insult and make completely vulgar comparisons with some stilted words as if he said it Enver Hoxha once, somewhere for someone!? To be direct, the overthrow of the socialist system has unfortunately also included the spoken and written Albanian language. It is part of the American imperialist strategy that, with the deepest sinking of communism, the basic and essential assets of those nations that have joined it are also buried. Let's not lose our minds that this is completely real and will be so until the end of this system, that is, the capitalist system, when it is overthrown by violence or other means of extermination. Do you remember the incomparable haste of the Ministry of Education that removed the Albanian language from some schools of different levels? That reduced the number of hours of Albanian by passing English? What about the incomparable yryshin of trade, of municipalities and business entities, of the Ministry of Culture (they shout) in road and media advertising only in English? Just this is enough: look at "Myslim Shyri" street in the core of the capital, where on both sides of the street the names of buildings and shops are written 92% in English and only 8% in Albanian. I'm like this everywhere. What about in Gjirokastër and Saranda, where the Greek language is wreaking havoc? Even to the desire of the head of the government (S.Berisha, I.Meta, especially E.Rama) to speak English in media interviews when they were legally obliged to speak in the language of their own nation? This great 'love' for the English language of all such has its source in the sense of dirty inferiority, lack of national pride and delusions of grandeur. Do you remember that Enver Hoxha, who even though he knew several foreign languages, spoke French only once (at the UN in 1946) and only then when he needed to be heard, big and small, of that frightened world post war? And they were really forced to listen to him and move from the country because they saw and heard where the land is, that this nation called Albania has no god!? But why was Enver Hoxha so foolish, who came up with the idea and the relevant bodies, (not to mention that there was politicization within these organizations), carried out the Albanian Spelling Congress in 1972? That congress was the most excellent work that was done at the time that responded to the development and general level of cultural, economic, military and scientific of the entire Albanian population. I connect the language problem with the leading individuals of our state because their role, as is already known, has often been decisive, among others because we are ruled by the psychology of the One! But most importantly because the head of the government, state or party , in his leadership, management and organizing work, he should be characterized not simply, as Gj. Fishta said so rightly, 'foxishness, slyness, intrigue, treason, treason', but especially honesty, patriotism, knowledge, manliness , these two qualities, which the current head of the government lacks. The servile policy of the pro-American Albanian governments also makes the teaching of English compulsory in school, perhaps, to become an official language later, even if it is far from it! This clearly seems to be an anti-Albanian policy. Specifically, in our country, all television media, organizations, state, technological and political bodies prefer to speak and are speaking English. Therefore, we should not sit idly by, but everyone, intellectuals and linguists, teachers and workers, peasants and miners, print and television media, all of us who are called Albanians, wherever we are, should be active in all ways and protect the language our native, the passport of our nation. It is the legacy of our revivalists, Naimi, Samiu Avdyli, Fishta, Mjeda, Çajupi, etc. Finally, after so much time in government, two years ago Prime Minister Rama remembered the Albanian language. He said at the Education Congress that it "must be protected from this linguistic and communicative chaos". Thank you for speaking, but will it do anything!? A few weeks ago, the official holiday of the alphabet day was also approved!? From what we have seen, these are very similar to the actions of deputy Noka when he throws ashes, flour and powder in the eyes of the guards. Let's hope even though hope, especially in such cases, is the most polluted cloud for the mind of those who feed it. There is a lot of talk these days, written and spoken, about the Albanian language. All kinds of labeling, evaluations, conjectures, comparisons are given, some even draw conclusions, draw conclusions, even give directives!? More spicier than a petition addressed to those institutions that are responsible for the problem of discussing the place that the Albanian language occupies and the role that the Albanian language plays in the territory inhabited by Albanians, the peninsula, the continent and the globe!? I personally agree with the demands of so many intellectuals who signed that petition. The situation can become even more shocking if the Albanian state does not give up. This, because if only from the axiom that 'the more you are exposed by eating, the more you are self-exposed to be eaten', it is understandable that our language has its place and role that our predecessors, Albanian scientists and foreign albanologists have defined it very well. Their studies can be deepened, enriched but not discarded. Wasn't this "dilemma" left to be decided by an oil engineer or a company accountant or worse, by an amateur who only knows how to spout nonsense that doesn't hold any kind of chain!? It is the genuine scientific studies of tens and hundreds of years of specialist and profiled people, in the field of linguistics, that give accurate conclusions about what has been, what is and what are the tendencies of the development of the Albanian language. Therefore, the state with its own organizations should put a stop to amateurism, treason (this only with legal punishment) and indolence or indifference in the treatment of language problems in the written and television media. There is no way to disagree with the opinion that the Academy of Sciences in this regard has so far played such a weak role that it almost has no influence at all! Why does this Academy not work for the Albanian language as well? The request to preserve it is also right. the Albanian from the blows of the not benevolent but oppressive neighboring policies, occupying and subjugating Greek and Serbian, as well as from certain social and governmental or local pseudo-scientific segments. To be as close as possible to the truth, our prime minister has his mind elsewhere and not on the Albanian language. He is thinking of tourism, tourists and tourist activities. Let's read what he said two years ago: "Albania is one of the safest countries in the world. Our crime rate is better than the UK, Greece or Italy and of course the US, with one of the lowest homicide rates in Europe. The tourism industry needs to invest because the nature and the coasts are breathtaking. And German retirees should come here to spend their old age by the sea. According to an old saying, "Albanian's home belongs to God and his friend". Some time ago he said this in Italy; a few days ago he repeated it in Turkey and England... This is how our prime minister, the most diligent advertiser of the exposure of Albanian beauty and its sale in parts, makes invitations. It clearly seems that he does not need anything about what is being done with the Albanian language, with the schools, with the farmers and the villagers, with the departure of the youth and the filling of the void with residents and families from 28 nationalities of the globe. In conclusion: for a year ten million tourists come to us! Now there are thousands of foreigners who live and work here because it is better than elsewhere. Where were you, nowhere. Did you work for the strengthening of Albania and the Albanian language or did you favor the foreigners and the invaders? But, when I heard one day in a lesson that the teacher Shqiponja told the students: "Albanian language is kept correct, when it is written clearly. The Albanian language is learned well, when it is read freely", my heart became a mountain. I was more optimistic that the Albanian language will strongly withstand the blows coming from all sides, especially from the anti-national policy and from the ignorance of the many gurmaz who let out their distorted and perverted voices.
