Democracy and demography among young Albanians

Written by Gjon Neçaj 17 Maj 2023

Young Albanians educated inside and outside the country, we must not leave the fate of the homeland in the hands of a political class that does not have any modern vision in the way of governing and deepening integration reforms. This obsession with the fear of decline puts societies on a collision course with the European project. In Hungary, for example, the perception of a double crisis, immigration and declining birth rates, was "politicized" by Viktor Orban, into a rejection of European migration policy. Montaigne and Terra Nova seek a more sober approach to the migratory reality in Europe, which can focus on the dimension of social networks. A way to de-dramatize an increasingly explosive topic. Therefore, this youth, which carries progressive, development and democratizing values, should not only be appreciated, as it deserves from politics and the Albanian state, but also to be supported and supported to give it the necessary spaces, where it can give its help to make possible the exit of our country once and for all from the protracted transition. In our opinion, for Albanian politics in general, the syndrome of disrespect for young people must be harnessed to give positive direction to social, economic and social changes to Albanians who have been tormented and exhausted by the prolonged transition and the barren postulates of unification. with the European family, it is Bajraktarism in politics, mainly, it continued even in the post-dictatorship period, and it still continues today. The most typical example is the opposition, both today and yesterday, with the projector of barren templates of stigmatizing any political action, state and social of the majority, lining up in the row of barren discussions in the parliament against everything of the government, were they led by people who do not know what the state and power are, that the image of leadership is theft and corruption, that through ministers lead the disabled, etc. In democratic systems, certain social groups, mainly political ones, the programs that unfold in the electoral elections, determine the positive changes of the electorate, and they certainly firmly believe that the campaigns are developed in the positive direction of the welfare of the sovereign, to be a society of civilized, yes, but especially at the economic levels of Europe, where we aim to reach. We want this long-suffering and exhausted people to truly enjoy democratic freedom, becoming a balcony of inspiration for the Balkans and beyond. We think that the timing of political leadership changes should be in harmony with the appropriateness of social-political changes. The sovereign demands that in the next year's general parliamentary elections, they pay attention to the flaws and mistakes of the past. They were repeated, the punishment will be inalienable. We think that this reality also comes from the difficulty of keeping today's Macedonia afloat, a state that was created and is kept afloat with crutches. In the Balkans, there are no big and small, with the new changes and realignments, in our peninsula, slowly everyone will understand that there are no bigger people, everyone is equal. Albanians still do not have a national program that would emancipate them in terms of raising national consciousness, for their own protection, not to attack others. We think that politics should precede the evils accumulated between ourselves and our neighbors. Albanian politicians in North Macedonia are the tragedy of their people, entirely at the service of Slavic politics. National identity is national identity and religious identity is something else. These two identities for the Albanian people do not mix, since we have not built our national identity on beliefs, as some Slavic peoples did, the Croatian people created their national identity on the Catholic religion, the Serbs on the Orthodox religion, the Bosnians on Muslim religion. We must be determined and convinced that our country deserves to be like other countries in Europe, being the young intellectuals who will lead Albania, their homeland, to the vision of the new century, unlike their predecessors,
