According to a study by Finnish researchers of the National Institute for Health and Welfare in Helsinki, salt abuse can double the risk of heart disease.
In this study, led by Professor Pekkha Jousilahti, the eating habits of 4,600 people aged 25-64 were monitored, as well as health data such as blood pressure, blood analysis, urine, weight, etc.
At the end of the study, it was concluded that people who exceeded the dose of 13.7 grams of salt have a higher risk of suffering from heart diseases. At the end of the study, the researchers suggested that a person should consume only 5 grams of salt.
