Written by SOT.COM.AL 3 Shkurt 2023
Starting today, users who create content for YouTube Shorts can earn money. YouTube has promised creators 45 percent of revenue from views, and this financial initiative could make YouTube Shorts the biggest rival of the mega-popular TikTok.
On TikTok, even the biggest creators are known to earn very little through the ad revenue sharing program. In this way, YouTube Shorts also tries to attract younger users.
The platform has seen continuous growth and recorded 1.5 billion monthly viewers, while TikTok had a fantastic growth in 2022.
YouTube now offers creators the opportunity to monetize their content through the YouTube Partner Program, which means the platform will share a portion of the revenue they generate from Shorts.
The monetization requirement is that the creator's or advertiser's channel has at least 1,000 subscribers or 4,000 watch hours in the last 12 months or 10 million public views of Shorts in the last 90 days.
