Triglycerides are a type of fat found in the blood. The body needs them for energy. But you have to be careful with their high levels.

If they are not at the right levels, they can cause heart disease to develop or worsen.

People suffering from diabetes often have problems managing  their triglycerides  as diabetes is a very complicated disease.

According to the American Heart Association, changes in lifestyle cause an increase in the level of fats or triglycerides.

However, you can try to lower your triglycerides by avoiding the consumption of foods that affect their growth.

Sugar in the form of fructose, it is very easy to exceed the required daily dose.

Since fructose is found mostly in fruits and is added to many products as a sweetener, people suffering from triglycerides should avoid eating too much of it.

If you suffer from diabetes, consult your doctor about the daily dose of fruit that you can consume.

Moreover, fruits are rich in fiber, which slows down the absorption of fructose by the body.

While products such as ice creams, fruit juices, preserves, jams, or compotes should be avoided.

Saturated fats are usually found in fried foods, red meat, chicken skin, butter, egg yolks. Also in margarine, dairy and fast-food products.

All people suffering from high triglyceride levels should avoid these foods as much as possible. Instead of red meat or whole chicken, use fish or lean parts of chicken.

Processed grains are high in added sugars, and are usually made from white flour, which raises triglyceride levels.

It is recommended to stay away from white bread products, pasta prepared with such flour or pizza, sweets, cookies or cakes.

Excessive alcohol consumption, in addition to damaging the liver, prompts it to produce more triglycerides.

Calories vary according to everyone's age, gender, height and weight.

It is therefore very important to consume the right amount.

If you exceed your daily calorie limit, you may run the risk of raising your triglyceride levels, causing problems in your body.
