The National Theater of Opera and Ballet, in collaboration with the "New Generation" center, announced a day ago the launch of the first professional music program in Albania, "Theatrical Academy", where academy students will be trained in stage interpretation, vocal technique, specific trainings in the style and interpretation of the Italian "Bel Canto".  The academy will be finalized with two opera titles

Through this structure of interaction between professional artists such as the "Theatrical Academy", young people will have the opportunity to be part of masterclasses, under the special and masterful care of prestigious artistic figures, as well as to receive individual lessons from teachers and well-known international artists. Each winning candidate will be given the opportunity to acquire new artistic knowledge, which will enrich their individual artistic experience. Meanwhile, part of the academy's staff will be pedagogues, choreographers, ballet-maestros, prominent conductors and many professional figures in the art of music, opera and ballet. The masterclass will be developed based on the artistic needs of TKOBAP for the 2023 artistic season and on the discipline of chamber music from the German repertoire. This is for the purpose of recognition and technical acquisition by talented young people, both in terms of operatic music and chamber music. In this context, the "Theatrical Academy" will be finalized with 2 important international opera titles, such as the opera "Atila" and "Carmen". For 2023, 5 days of study in the first season and 4 days of study in the second season are planned. The application will remain open until March 31. The selection of potential candidates by the evaluation committee will take place from April 1 - 7. The auditions will take place from April 8-13, according to 2 categories: Effective registration, where the winning candidates will be beneficiaries of the masterclass; Listening participation, where candidates will have the opportunity to attend the masterclass as a listener and not as a participant.
