"Complete Strangers" on the theater stage, a comedy that breaks down the social and societal impact of technology

Written by Nga Julia Vrapi 16 Mars 2023

"Complete Strangers" is a comedy by the well-known Italian author Paolo Genovese. The theatrical work comes to the public on the stage of the National Theater at "ArTurbina". The comedy directed by Erion Isai brings in roles actors known to the public for their activity on the theater stage. The theater announces that the comedy "Completely Strangers" will be four nights in a row. "After numerous requests, the fantastic comedy: Total Strangers, by Paolo Genovese, returns for only 4 nights", the theater informs about the show, which will be on stage on the evenings of March 16, 17, 18 and 19. The roles in the comedy are played by actors Olta Daku, Flor Agalliu, Igli Zarka, Ajlin Petrela, Ori Bici, Kejdi Gishto, Franc Bregu and Rosela Isufi. In the events of the comedy, 7 friends (three couples and one divorced) during a dinner under the eclipse of the moon, decide to play a game: every phone call, sms, whatsapp and everything that comes to their phones will be read and heard by everyone. A game that reveals betrayals, decisions, actions that lead couples and friendships to crisis. A wonderful comedy that breaks down the social and societal impact of technology to its core. Phone = everyone's black box, a game that will turn them into complete strangers to each other. Theatrical work "Completely foreign" these March evenings follows the performances that were previously staged at the National Theater during this artistic season, as private productions. Directed by Erion Isai, scenography by Divni Gusha, costume design by Ilirjana Loxha Basha, composer Joris Kaso, Sergio Hajdini, translation by Lorena Shele, executive producer Ajlin Petrela.
