Skënder Jazexhiu: The Ministry of Culture is late in stimulating authors for new national works, don't leave the people alone

 National works should be more on stage, but various creators and artists say that the problem for operas and ballets is the low budgets or the lack of competitions. Skënder Jazexhiu, the first soloist at TKOB and teacher of the Ballet School, says that for years the Ministry of Culture has not paid attention to the major operas and new national ballets. Restitution of works

 The well-known soloist Skënder Jazexhiu says that it is very good that the operetta "Carnivals" written by the composer Avni Mula came back to the stage and appeared after 45 years for the public. But he says that it is good that on the stage of TKOB, the works that were once will continue to return. "We have many good works that were once written. The major works are "Skenderbeu", "Mrika", the ballet "Delina", etc. The operetta "Carnivals" returned and was welcomed on the TKOB stage. It is a good thing that TKOB is bringing the works back to the stage, they can be brought back and adapted to the times", says Jazexhiu. For the soloist, if it is possible to have the new national works of opera and ballet, then it is easier to stage them. But to begin with, according to Jazexhiu, there should be no lack of support for creators. "The Ministry of Culture makes the policies and has the budgets. The Ministry of Culture is late to stimulate authors for new national works, because it has the duty to promote Albanian creativity. Don't leave the people in oblivion with only talava. Today's composers have no strength if you don't encourage them to write great works, because they think why should they get tired when the work doesn't find the light of the stage. The Ministry of Culture is responsible for what happens with the development of art and culture in the country. MK gives the fund and the works are approved, the realization is then easier, the budgets for the stage will be found", says the soloist Jazexhiu. In the activity of Skënder Jazexhiu in national and foreign ballets, we mention the characters Musta in "Halili and Hajria", Arbani in "Delina", the role of Burizan in "Fatosi partizan", Pjetri in "Cuva e Maleve", in "DonKishtoi" Sanço, "Lola" the role of Mengo, the Spanish "Nutcracker", "Invincible Land" the fisherman, "Sons of the Fisherman" Petriti, "Dead River" Llazi, etc. In 2002, he ended his activity on stage with the ballet "Don Quixote". Skënder Jazexhiu has taught at the Ballet School, as well as at the High Institute of Arts.
