National Book and Reading Center and QSPA, an activity in honor of Jeronim De Rada

On the 120th anniversary of the death of Jeronim De Rada, the National Center for Books and Reading together with the Center for Studies and Publications for Arbëresh organized a meeting in honor of a major cultural figure. This activity was moderated by QSPA researcher, dr. Yolanda Lila. Researcher Lila emphasized the importance of the development of this activity, where the focus, along with other aspects, was the publication of the book "Historical-philological work of De Rada", "In memoriam", curated by prof. Jup Kastrati published by QSPA. Some of the main lecturers of the activity and the topics that were held by them, were prof. Ymer Çiraku, who dealt with the influence and role of J. De Rada in Albanian literature; Behar Gjoka spoke about the figure of De Rada as a system for evaluating the individual's relationship with the fate of the homeland; dr. Leka Ndoja dealt with the presentation of publications in the Italian-Albanian world on De Rada's work and figure; dr. Manjola Tërshana dealt with the impressions of the work done in the editing of the book "Historical-philological work of De Rada", "In memoriam", edited by prof. Jup Kastrati, where he focused on the role and weight of the bibliography used by prof. Jup Kastrati in his work of 30 years of research on De Rada. Dr. Jolanda Lila concluded the activity by focusing on the details of the publication of the work "Historical-philological work of De Rada", "In memoriam", curated by Prof. Give Kastrati. Jeronim De Rada was born in 1814 in Maki of Kozenza and passed away on February 28, 1903. He was the prominent representative of Albanian and European romanticism and the ideologist of the Albanian National Renaissance. Jeronim De Rada was born in 1814 in the small and picturesque village of Maki in Kozenza, not far from Shënmitër Korona, the center of the Arbëresh Shën-Adriani college. In this college, the young De Rada completed his first studies, which were of particular importance for the formation of his personality. There he studied ancient and modern literature, got to know the ideas of the French Revolution, which influenced the formation of his personality.
