The painter Gjergji Meta opened the personal exhibition "Bridges" in the Tirana Art Gallery, with paintings presented for the first time. The well-known painter Gjergji Meta (Xhoxho) brings 30 paintings to the public at the "Bridges" exhibition. Painter Gjergji Meta says that the works in this personal exhibition were done during this year. In the concept about the exhibition, the painter writes that bridges as a physical and spiritual means, as communication, are a necessity, because of the connection between two neighborhoods, two arms of a river or sea space, charming streams that show strength in the generous and watery winter, but that you can't cross without those bridges, dig for a weight like that and talk about the physical side of it. "What about the spiritual one? Both people and works of art are authentic. They are of strange shapes, sometimes miniature with fence wood, sometimes with wooden beams, and sometimes with iron and concrete. Sometimes with triggers and sometimes hanging, small and magnificent, where the man looks giant and again the man looks like a drop", says the painter Gjergji Meta. They are ugly, but that's okay, they are beautiful, designed and crafted by masters in history, they have also left their names on them. This belongs to the soul, continues the painter Meta. "Long as wearisome, the bridge wider than long." We have our own bridge, medium in our eye suspension bridges, catwalks, metal bridges without black triggers, with crosses and vertical bars, with carved stone arches, red white black gold, elegant strong, great patience, Crooked by weight and years, wise without words even when violence is applied to them, innocent in human guilt, they have seen a lot and have in their memory armies, battles, crowds, but also joys, royal horses, weddings with cars, peace delegations, fleeing from war from disasters. They are broken in the middle, in the arms and legs, they continue to stand, no matter how much spiritual weight they have, they cannot be otherwise", says Gjergji Meta (Xhoxho) in the concept of the exhibition.

"I love what I had in my city, what I have seen here where I live and beyond the borders, and for the impressions of them I decided to make this exhibition with about 30 works", says the painter. Gjergji Meta comes to GAT with "Urat" after the personal exhibition he opened with paintings with urban motifs last year. The activity of this talented artist is large with over 22 international exhibitions, and his paintings are everywhere in the world. It has received various awards, as well as first prize in a foreign biennial.
