The lute at UNESCO, meeting of the group of experts of the file with the lute makers, bearers of the mastery of its work and researchers

The lute is one of the musical instruments that needs more attention. The researchers propose the adoption of the protection with a special status of luthiers and luthiers. The AADF Foundation and the Ministry of Culture organized on Saturday in Shkodër the meeting of the group of experts with the community of rhapsodes and inheritors of the art of making the lute, coming from Malësia e Madhe, Tropoja, Puka, Lezha and Mirdita. The meeting was opened by Mr. Ilir Parangoni, who made known the steps taken by this foundation to enable the preparation of four national heritage files for registration in the UNESCO lists: Xjubleta, Transhumanca, Kcimi i Tropoja and Lahuta. Australian researcher Susane Ogge-Milou, who has supported the work of the expert group since the beginning, was present. "The work started 12 years ago, with an initiative of the government of Kosovo, was not successfully completed, not because of the lack of preparatory work, but because Kosovo is still not a member of UNESCO. This delay forced us to redefine not only the name, but also the list, this for objective reasons, because the legacy we are discussing is on the decline," he said. In the following acad. A fundamental cause is the destruction of the social-cultural context in which the lute has been preserved. The tower, the traditional audience, the men's room, the tribal order, the canonical regulation, the old holidays and rites no longer exist or have become ethnocultural rarities.
