"Borders, raindrops" and "Borrowed Whiteness", in the first two evenings of "Dea open air"

In these two contexts came the past in two feature films, screened in the first two evenings in the 9th edition of the International Film Festival "Dea open air". The connecting thread is the relations between developed and underdeveloped societies and the fate of the individual in them as a result of the respective boundaries and barriers, opportunities, deprivations and functioning of social relations, in the interest of the strong and at the expense of the weak. In the material for the films, it is said that the Bosnian-Montenegrin-Serbian production, "Borders, raindrops" refers to the consequences of emigration, highlighting as in other Balkan countries, including Albania, not only depopulation, but also the mentality that poverty and war produce first of all in the heads of children, while the German production "Borrowed Whiteness" approaches this report from the point of view of the existential test, which represents the truth about the life of all parties, whether Albanian or German. "In both films, the directors are concerned about the fate of the individual and the community at the same time," the festival said in a statement. Present at the presentation of the film "Borders, raindrops" were Bosnian director Vlastimir Sudar and Montenegrin producer Karlo Kalezic, while for the film "Borrowed Whiteness", director Sebastian Ko, producer Roswitha Ester and lead actor Florist Bajgora, selected for the role, in the context of the audition held in Albania, with the aim of engaging an Albanian actor.
