Scientific conference on new problems of Albanianology today

The international scientific conference "New problems of Albanianology in today's time" will take place for two days in a row in Shkodër. The University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi", in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences of Albania, for two consecutive days from May 25-26, will organize this conference that will address some of the main challenges of Albanianology today, as a perspective its within the framework of European culture, its epistomological meaning, archaeological perspective in Albanological studies, writing models of Albanological studies, Albanological studies in the Middle Ages, the role of language dialects with the standard language and vice versa, the rewriting of history, literary studies in Albanology and the contribution of several prominent Albanian scholars to Albanian studies. 36 scholars of albanology from the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi", the Academy of Sciences of Albania, the Institutes of History and Literature as well as other university departments in Albania are participating in the conference. This conference is organized immediately after the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two institutions and in the framework of the special importance that the Academy of Sciences of Albania gives to Albanian studies, such as studies that are primary on archeology, identity, language, history and Albanian literature.
