The vocal-symphonic concert "Ludwig Van Beethoven - Symphony no. 9" on

The artists of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet will be together on stage for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of this institution. On November 27, 1953, the opera "Rusalka" was put on the Albanian stage, a date that entered the history of TKOB as the day of the foundation of this theater. To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the creation of the theater, a vocal-symphonic concert will be held at TKOB, including Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. The concert takes place with the Symphony Orchestra, soloists and the choir of TKOB. Concert conductor Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli and choir conductor Dritan Lumshi. Soloists in this concert are soprano Renisa Laçka, mezzo-soprano Vikena Kamenica, tenor Denis Skura and baritone Armando Likaj. The National Opera and Ballet Theater says that in the November of our national pride, we have one more reason to celebrate. "TKOB turns 70 years old! On November 27, 1953, the opera "Rusalka" by the Russian composer A. Dargomyzhsky was performed for the first time on the Albanian stage. This moment served as a foundation stone from which the creation of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet began, and very soon Albanian opera was also staged. To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the creation of TKOB, we will bring to all art lovers one of the masterpieces of world music: Symphony no. 9 of Beethoven. We are waiting for you on November 27, at 19:30 to celebrate our 70th birthday together!", says the National Theater of Opera and Ballet about this concert. Concertmasters are Herta Cane, Thanas Paskali. With a subject based on the play by ASPushkin and with music by AS. Dargomizhskij, "Rusalka" was created, a work that represented Russian realistic art at that time. In a film material on the premiere of 1953, part of the archive of AQSHF, the masters of Albanian operatic vocals are shown, such as Jorgjia Truja, Hysen Pelinku, Zihni Berati, Gjyzepina Kosturi, Marie Kraja, Haxhi Tafaj, Takuina Truja, Zeqir Agolli under the direction of the master. Mustafa Krantja and ballet master Panajot Kanaçi.

History of TKOB

The history of TKOB begins in 1950, the year in which the Albanian Philharmonic was established, which included the state choir, symphony orchestra, lyric singers, ballet troupe, conductors, director and a small administrative-technical group. On the institution's website, it is stated that the Philharmonic developed its activity in the building where the National Theater was located and later in 1953 it was transferred to the building where the University of Arts is today. The first opera and ballet performances were held in this building. On 27.11.1953, the first opera of our stage was performed, "Rusalka" by the Russian composer ASDargomizhsky, a date that entered the history of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet as the day of the establishment of this theater even though at that time it was still part of the Philharmonic of the State. The Council of Ministers, in 1956, in order to create more favorable conditions for a better direction of the central artistic institutions, decided to create the Lyric Theater of Opera and Ballet, with a contingent of 246 people. In 1957, a year later, the National Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances was created, which became part of TKOB. As the country's largest musical and stage institution, TKOB was established in the Palace of Culture building in 1966, where it continues its activities today.
