"Theatre Fund for Young People" until March 23 applications to the Experimental Theatre

 "Youth Theater Fund" this year marks the second edition and applications will be due until March 23. This is announced on the website of the National Experimental Theater "Kujtim Spahivogli", which has published the criteria for applications. The theater projects benefiting from this fund are realized under the auspices of the Experimental Theatre, in cooperation with the theaters of the districts, bringing attention to contemporary Albanian dramaturgy at the national level; inclusiveness of young artists in the theater discipline; enrichment of the theater fund by young people. The performance period is April-November 2023. The age of the creators and performers of the work must be up to 35 years old. Through the "Theater Fund for young people, in 2023", with an amount of 10,000,000 ALL, the aim is to: encourage and activate young creators and performers; bringing back the youth festival in a new form; revival and theatrical movement at the national level; the creation of the theater movement based on the regions. The fund will contain a repertoire of 10-14 plays by Albanian and contemporary playwrights. The works that will be proposed and selected have up to 4 characters. The commission that selects the works and directors with their presentations is the artistic board of the National Experimental Theater "Kujtim Spahivogli". The geographical scope of the theater productions, presented in a form of co-production with the theaters of the districts, addresses the directors to work and ensure the success of the premieres in the theaters of Tirana, Korça, Shkodra, Vlora, Durrës, Fier, Pukë, Gjirokastër. Submission of applications started on January 23 and continues until March 23, where the winners will be announced next month. External actors will be selected through auditions. District theaters will support the projects of this fund, through theater logistics, scenography and costume design according to their budget possibilities. The documentation is physically submitted to the protocol unit of the National Experimental Theater "Kujtim Spahivogli".

Ballet School students in the show "Paganini Reloaded"

The show "Paganini Reloaded" came on stage performed by the students of the Ballet School in Tirana at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet. With a performance through the choreography of ballet master Patrick de Bana, the talented students were applauded for a long time by the audience present in the hall. Muzeu “Shtëpia me gjethe” përkujton poeten Drita Çomo

Muzeu kombëtar i përgjimeve “Shtëpia me gjethe” përkujtoi poeten Drita Çomo (19 mars 1958 - 19 shkurt 1981), krijimet e së cilës mbetën në sirtar në periudhën kur ajo i shkroi. Muzeu shkruan se për shkak të frikës nga regjimi komunist, ajo nuk mori guximin t?i ndante ato me të tjerët. “Kështu, poezitë e saj panë dritën e botimit mjaft vonë. Vetëm në vitin 1997, doli libri "Dritë që vjen nga humnera", një përmbledhje e poezive dhe shënimeve nga ditari i saj”, thuhet nga muzeu. Drita Çomo u largua nga jeta fare e re, në moshën 23 vjeçare. Më 19 shkurt 1981, sëmundja e mposhti përfundimisht. Ajo vdiq në spitalin onkologjik në Tiranë, ashtu sikurse edhe jetoi: e vetme, pa dikë afër në grahmat e fundit. Regjimi nuk ia lejoi të kishte pranë as njeriun më të dashur, nënën e saj.

"The Princesses and the Magical Pea" at the weekend on the theater stage

Hans Christian Andersen was a Danish author. Although a prolific writer of plays, travelogues, novels and poems, he is best remembered for his literary tales. Andersen's fairy tales, consisting of 156 stories in nine volumes, have been translated into more than 125 languages.
