The international operatic vocal festival "Marie Kraja" comes this year in its 19th edition. Competitors will compete in two disciplines and there will be an international jury for the evaluations of the festival in the 19th edition. The "Marie Kraja" festival will take place on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet Theater for the public on March 30 and 31. 16 young operatic voices from all over the world will perform at the biggest Albanian festival dedicated to operatic singing. "The repertoire will be 500 years of history," says Klevis Saliaj, the executive director of the festival. This year brings something new, as not only operatic songs will be played on both nights. 16 young people, from four continents, in two magical evenings in the "Lion Competition" and "Song Competition" in duets with Albanian music stars: Aurela Gaçe, Juliana Pasha, Eneda Tarifa, Elhaida Dani, Era Rusi, Venera Lumani, Lindi Islami and Kamela Islamaj. The orchestra will be conducted by the London conductor Martin Andre. Directed by Redi Treni and this year the festival is moderated by the Albanian soprano of the international scene Enkeleda Kamani and Blendi Salaj. There are also young ballet stars directed by Alisa Gjoni. Competitors at the festival this year will be judged by an international jury, composed of directors of major European operas and managers of the most well-known artists. Nicolas Payne - director of "Opera Europa", chairman of the jury, Zana Çela, president of the festival, Julia Lagahuzère, general director and co-founder of "Opera for Peace", etc. The international operatic vocal festival "Marie Kraja" is dedicated to the voice, so the applications to be part of this festival have been numerous.
