The exhibition "The first students through the evidence of time" opens in the Museum of Education

The exhibition "The first students through the evidence of time" was opened yesterday at the Museum of Education in Korça. An exhibition, which was organized in the framework of the 136th anniversary of the hatching of the First Albanian Teacher. In the library hall of the museum, all those who want to visit will see for the first time personal objects, testimonies, documents, photographs, letters written by the important personalities of the two schools that were opened in Korça, the Teacher of First Albanian and Girls' Teacher. Now part of the museum fund, these objects, photographs and testimonies belong to the founders, teachers and students of these first national schools and were donated by their descendants. The interaction between original objects and interesting facts are beautifully combined with video montages, where photographs and many other materials are displayed. The exhibition will remain open for several days in the museum. The first school was opened on March 7, 1887, under the conditions of the Ottoman occupation, and it was created by a group of revivalists, while it was the first elementary school with a pronounced national and secular physiognomy, where all lessons were taught in the Albanian language. According to the documents of the time, the activity of this school was permeated by patriotic ideas, work education and love of knowledge. The first Albanian teacher was widely supported by the patriotic Korça and exile groups. The first directors of the school were the patriots of our National Renaissance, Pandeli Sotiri, Petro Nini Luarasi, Nuçi Naçi, etc., while its first director was elected Petro Nini Luarasi, one of the main figures of the time, activist of the Albanian National Renaissance, publicist and lecturer.
