Museum Day, researchers gather at MHK for museum objects and the importance of these institutions

The National Historical Museum organized a round table with the theme "Museums, Sustainability and Well-Being" within the framework of May 18, the International Day of Museums. Prof. spoke at this round table. ass. dr. Frederik Stamati, who delivered the speech "The role of conservation of museum objects in increasing the sustainability of museums". Next, the representative of ICOM Albania greeted Dr. Melsi Labi. Ledio Xhoxhi delivered the speech "Reflections on the museum-cultural tourism partnership", while Andrea Llukani delivered the speech "Banquet scene in the icons exhibited in the pavilion of icons". This day was established in 1977 by the International Council of Museums. For each year, on May 18 - International Museum Day - the International Council of Museums (ICOM) organizes and coordinates diverse cultural and social activities that focus on raising and raising public awareness of the role that museums play in the development of society. The International Day of Museums began to be commemorated for the first time in Albania in 2005. The Ministry of Culture through the national network of museums consisting of historical, archaeological, ethnographic museums, distributed in the cities of Tirana, Durrës, Kruja, Korça, Berat , Fier, Vlorë, Sarandë organizes various activities depending on the annual theme selected by ICOM - International to commemorate this day. This year's theme is "Museums, Sustainability and Well-Being". As part of this day, the National Historical Museum also organized the activity "Museums, Sustainability and Well-Being" in collaboration with the "Sami Frashëri" gymnasium. The students had prepared paintings, essays, leaflets for this marked day. Specialists of the Educational Programs Sector spoke about the role of the museum, for raising awareness that museums are an important tool of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace between peoples.
