The Academy of Archaeological Studies, which previously opposed the decision of the Council of Ministers on its activities, is in the process of launching a legal battle. This is reported by ASA, which yesterday also distributed a statement of the scientific council of the Institute of Archaeology. "We inform you that the Academy of Archaeological Studies is in the process of starting a legal battle against the decision of the Council of Ministers to close the activity of the ASA and we will inform you about this in the following days", says the ASA in the announcement . Through the statement, the scientific council states that the researches of the Institute of Archeology covering almost the entire Albanian territory and all historical periods, alone or in cooperation with foreign universities and research centers, according to international models and principles in archeology and away from subjectivism in science, have brought outstanding results. "This institute had and has as its working principle the academic freedom of each researcher. Enjoying the freedom gained in scientific research, AI researchers for decades now do not base their activity on predetermined and imposed theses, but on issues that are studied and argued. This institute has supported the freedom of scientific research in the results of excavations coming from the field, avoiding political populism for local effects or interests of the moment.
