Agim Janina: "Revival" exhibition with works in mosaics as a return of

Works on mosaics were brought to the exhibition "Revival". The inauguration of the exhibition of the artist Gëzim Llalla took place on the eve of Summer Day. The curator of the exhibition, the art researcher Agim Janina, says that just like the holiday, the mosaic comes from a very ancient tradition and traces of it, as everywhere in the Albanian territories, are also found in Elbasan. Curator Janina says that mosaic work requires high conceptual and practical skills, good knowledge of the materials used, but above all, it requires work and passion. According to the researcher Agim Janina, we find all these qualities revealed by the artist in the exhibited works. "They grab you for the surprises of the finds as well as for the color diversity. Freed from the artistic limitations of the past, Gezimi manages to create mosaics of time, with sometimes hidden and sometimes visible figuration, where the viewer's imagination is ignited, because from time to time other objects, made by human hands, appear on the surface, such as an ancient figurine, a decorative vase, a miniature horse, a sphere, early remains in ceramics, even a rusty pistol, etc., which intertwine and seem to play with the colorful stones of the mosaic", says researcher Agim Janina. The artist follows the scholar Janina, pushes even further and finds space between the stones to place scenes from the famous painting "The Last Supper" by Laonardo, as well as pays homage to the poet Ali Podrimja. etc., which intertwine and play with the colorful stones of the mosaic", says researcher Agim Janina. Creating mosaics

The researcher Agim Janina says that in creating the surfaces of the mosaics, the artist Gëzim Llalla shows care in their construction, he looks for the similarity with the earth, where they were created and stood for centuries, so their surfaces are not flat and in one plane, but brought out in sudden relief to give the idea of ??the valleys, the banks of the rivers, the depths of the erosion of the mountains, the hills, or the relief of the earth, where those stones have stood for thousands of years until the eye of the craftsman found them and his hand it was given a new value, placing them on easels, now as works of art. "With a striking title "Revival", the author gives the significant semantics of the exhibition. "By exposing the mosaics and other stones, so to speak, they make a return of the hidden values ??of the earth, but this time not hidden in the interior, but on its surface and face to face with the viewer's eye", says Janina. For curator and researcher Agim Janina, every stone on display has a story to tell. According to him, they have also turned into characters and artistic images expressing the passion of the artist, his artistic research and the urge to understand how beautiful the underground is, that the above ground is closer and more visible to everyone and you can create works of art from it. "An art exhibition is not just a display of the artist's skills, but also a joy for the city, bringing a feast for the eyes of the beholder and to tell us that life is beautiful and it should be lived with work and honesty, with creativity, so that later when you turn your head and say, I worked and lived well! And an artist like Gëzim Llalla adds, I also created leaving a beautiful legacy. The exhibition also comes as an ecological call to keep the earth, our common home, clean in order to inherit it with all its values ??to the future generations", continues the researcher Agim Janina. The "Rejuvenation" exhibition was opened in Elbasan, but according to researcher Janina, its place has also been found. "Not far from the city center, where there are archeological findings and discoveries to prove the idea that the underground hides and stores great treasures", says Janina. In addition to his creative work, the artist Gëzim Llalla has also provided valuable help in teaching, preparing entire generations.
