President Begaj meets with his Swiss counterpart: Our community is a strong bridge between the two countries

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, held a meeting with the President of the Swiss Confederation and the Head of the Federal Department for Internal Affairs, Alain Berset. In the meeting, the very good level of cooperation and relations between the two countries was assessed and determination was expressed for their further strengthening, as well as the deepening of cooperation within international organizations.

" The Albanian community in Switzerland is a strong connecting bridge between our two countries ", underlined Begaj.

The President of the Republic thanked the Swiss counterpart for Switzerland's continuous assistance and essential support in the development of various sectors of the economy in our country, in the energy, tourism, and health sectors, in which Switzerland ranks as the main donor, helping to improve health system and in the design of the national strategy for primary health care.

Also, he expressed gratitude for the signing between the two countries of the Agreement on Social Security.
