The journalist of the Voice of America, Keida Kostreci, said in the show Now in Euronews Albania, that the indictment against the former FBI official Charles McGonigal was made from the point of view of the department of justice for the violations that the FBI agent made by mixing, while he was still in office, public with private.
Kostreci explained that from the analysis of the indictment, the former official's first connection with Albania is the Albanian-American citizen Agron Neza.
According to Kostreci, it turns out that since the first visit in 2007-2008, the former official has come several times to Albania where he met with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"The former FBI official did not report these visits to Albania, which are considered frauds, and the fact that both in Albania and Kosovo he gave FBI souvenirs is considered a mixture of public and private. Violated FBI rules. "If you add the payments he received from Neza, he used his public position for private matters, which is in violation of the FBI law," Kostreci said.
