Deputy Agron Shehaj said in the Now show on Euronews Albania that Prime Minister Edi Rama, in addition to paying the former FBI official, also wanted to give him an important post.
Shehaj revealed that Rama wanted to put former FBI official Charles McGonigal in charge of the Anticorruption strategy.
According to him, the fact that many foreign officials who come to Albania do not say a word about the country's problems is suspicious.
"They wanted to put this gentleman in charge of the anti-corruption strategy, this is madness. After giving him money, they wanted to put him in charge of the anti-corruption strategy. Imagine what has been done in this country with the officials who have come. When Rama has reached this far, he can have done anything and is able to do anything", said Shehaj.
