Dismissal should be precedent and not political revenge

Dismissal should be precedent and not political revenge

The majority, without passing the enthusiasm of victory in the parliamentary elections of April 25, have started the procedures for the dismissal of the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta. At first glance and judgment it seems like the right action of the socialists after all the ordeal of clashes that have long existed between them and the protagonist of the dismissal, but it also seems like a hasty action, since this is the first decision of the winners. That the president deserves a perhaps spectacular dismissal from this majority that has come to the tip of his nose from this quarrelsome president and that has not left an epithet without putting this majority and the prime minister himself, this owl understands. But also that the steps to be taken must be studied and without any violation of the Constitution is also very important and must be understood correctly by the majority. If all this is just political revenge against him, he will leave the same taste that the president himself left with his actions when, as he shook the Constitution at every conference and shouted that he was its soldier, in reality he was its first violator. . The majority should behave like an institution that is mostly treating dismissal as a precedent and lesson for the presidents who will come to this republic and in no way should they be the same as these presidents we have tried in these 30 years. that who more and who less, have been politicized and not as a symbol of national unity. Also, the majority should not forget that it is not just dismissing a republican president, a novelty in the Albanian political life, but it is dismissing what itself led to that chair and most importantly, is firing one of his own, as the president has often publicly declared himself a "hardened socialist." (Indeed, Meta has stated not without boasting that he is a hardened socialist, but from what he says to what he does, a whole river flows in the middle. With his personal and institutional actions, Meta has more than once proved with deeds that he is not just a "Hardened socialist," but a "burnt socialist." but a good political trader, who knew very well how to take advantage of the sale and purchase of government posts). In fact, the initiative for such an important political enterprise is not the first for this majority. Do you remember the parliamentary commission of the first two years that so pompously held its meetings for the general public, even summoned President Ilir Meta to a session, who in turn not only did not miss that call, but surrounded by councilors was defended in the same way as Gjergj Dimitrov in the trial for the burning of the German Raishtag, almost a century ago? "Dignified defense" made the commission ashamed to withdraw from the accusations it had articulated at the beginning and to forgive the president. Are you going to have a "copy paste" of that commission from the one that is about to be set up? Chances are it won't be. The anger of the Socialists towards the president and especially the prime minister towards him seems far from being enough to cross the line. They have mobilized the most important parliamentary forces not only to start with the first step, the signing of the petition by 50 deputies of their political force, but also on the accusations that will be included in the file that will be sent to Parliament. More specifically, it remains to be seen when the file is ready, but in a very simple analysis and without the need to be a lawyer at all, for those of us who have closely followed all the activity of this president over the last months, you are convinced that this file with facts against himself the president has fed mostly himself through statements without any logic and also from actions that do not suit any president. The thickening of the voice in the threats that I will cut my hands in the middle of "Skënderbej" square, "sharpen your forks and axes", I will call the people once again as on March 2 ”were the actions of the president that not only did not increase his quotas, but had the opposite effect. Also, appearing openly in the election campaign in favor of the opposition stripped him of his constitutional role as president of all and received the sentence as he collected insufficient votes for the opposition to be the winner. Even violating the protocol for the distribution of decorations was an unacceptable action. There is a state protocol for their distribution and not as the president did, who hung the "bag" with decorations on the neck of one of the councilors and went from city to city and distributed them to those who were with the SMI. We do not ask the president for perfection in this protocol, as is the case in the UK to such an extent that when the queen drops the cutlery, spoon, knife and fork on the table and shows that she has finished the eating process, no one else should continue eating, but even that way the division of decorations was exceedingly outdated. But what sealed his fate was the unnecessary irritation with the American embassy and specifically with Ambassador Kim. When he declared that "shoot me in the Mountain with Pits and save the people" he thought he was playing the role of a hero to gain the admiration of the voters, but in fact that statement doubled his personality: the voters laughed because they remembered many statements of his who had not found application to condemned him through the vote and meanwhile increased the American anger that eventually abandoned him. However, Ilir Meta's oppression did not end on election day, but continued after it. If he had declared that "on the 26th he will resign if Edi Rama wins 71 seats" he not only did not keep his word, but also started to make "Kavaja loggia" with the language of numbers since Rama received 74 seats. For the people of Vlora and those who have lived in the coastal city, this reminds you of "Bena e Bratit". It was the time when the judgment for the mistakes made became peasant through the elders and when this elders had zamani men. Two fellow villagers decided to rob a vineyard. They killed their minds and found the solution not only to robbery but also to the protection they would receive when they went before the elders. Ride one caliper over the other and start harvesting for the vineyard. It was suspected of both and they appeared before the elders. The one who was a caliph declared firmly that "if my foot has trespassed in that vineyard of mine, pluck both feet." The one who was carrying his friend on his back stated that "if my hands have been torn, even a bunch of grapes of mine, pluck both". None of them did wrong, and the elders did not condemn them. Like them, Ilir Meta is innocent of declaring "if he gets 71 deputies". But this is not a deadly statement for the post of president. The drafters of the case against him have taken care that the main evidence is his provocative statements during the campaign and especially his opposition to the Americans. These would be enough to deprive him of the chair he holds today. This is if the committee set up will be serious and not like those dozens of committees set up in these 30 years by this Parliament and which in no case have provided a credible and feasible alternative. The conclusions of all the commissions set up over the years have been null and void and the accused have escaped without a thorn in their side. As Ilir Meta himself came out of the first commission. Because the commissions have been set up in the fury of political revenge and over time the fury has dropped to the level of "love" or "mercy". We doubt that this is how this commission will end, which will probably say that "since we have only one year as president, let us endure it". If the commission, but also the Parliament, will see it not just as political revenge,
