In an important step for the livestock community in Albania, a group of farmers from the south, center and north of the country have joined forces to establish the Association of Dairy Breeders (BPQ) . This action comes as a response to the lack of a collective voice and adequate support for livestock farmers in the country, marking a turning point in efforts to address the sector's challenges.
The BPQ association aims to be a support platform for all those who live and depend on livestock, a key sector for the economy and rural welfare in Albania. Its members, who make up a wide spectrum of cattle, goat and sheep farmers, are determined to work together to promote a fairer and more supportive environment for all livestock farmers.
BPQ seeks to address the main challenges facing the livestock community, including the lack of adequate state support, legal challenges and problems with support schemes that directly affect the development and sustainability of the sector. The association will work to bring about positive changes through dialogue and cooperation with all relevant actors, aiming to ensure a brighter future for livestock farmers and the livestock sector as a whole.
In a country where the challenges of agriculture and livestock affect the entire spectrum of rural life, the BPQ initiative is a clear sign of the commitment and will of farmers to build a better future. The association invites all livestock farmers to join this movement, give their contribution and work together to improve conditions and opportunities in the livestock sector.
This is a call for unity and action. BPQ believes that patriotism is not only seen in great national moments, but also in the everyday efforts of those who feed and support their communities through their work in agriculture and livestock. This is true patriotism – to plant, feed and help grow your country. We invite you to join us on this journey and be part of the change you want to see in the livestock sector in Albania. Together, we can build a better future for all. We welcome your participation and input.
