European Union sources have told Radio Free Europe that the suspension of visa liberalization for Kosovo - which has been mentioned as a possibility in the media, after the increase in tensions in the north of the country - is not an option.

The local Serbs are continuing the protests in the three municipalities in the north of Kosovo, Zveçan, Zubin Potok and Leposaviq, also on June 9.
They have been protesting regularly since May 29, to oppose the entry of Albanian mayors into municipal buildings.
"There are a number of measures that are being considered and discussed. But, the great majority of the member states in several meetings have made it clear that the suspension of visa liberalization for Kosovo is not an option", an official told Radio Free Europe.
